RACE 1 MSW 1/16 MILE

#1 has run 3rd 4x in 6 tries for McPeek; #10 beat him by 2.5 lengths.

#2 was a well be 2nd in his only try for Brad Cox going 6F

#3 has been away since April when he ran 2nd for Asmussen; has 2 bullet workouts @ Fair Grounds 

#4 has been dull in his only 2 tries

#5 was a well bet 7th in his last for McPeek against #1 & #10

#6 ran 3rd in his only try for Cox; picks up Pratt to ride

#7 ran 3rd to HYPNUS in the slop

#8 has trouble in the gate in all 3 tries for Tom Amoss; was steadied in his last finishing 2nd. Picks up Dylan Davis

#9 1st race off the claim from Cox where he showed early speed tiring in the slop finishing 4th in the slop

#10 last race was his best in 5 tries when he ran 2nd beating #1

#1 has been well be but settled for 2nd 6 out of 16 races. Like the Distorted Humor daddy

#1 missed by a nose in last try after winning by 3 in her only other race

#2 has ran 3rd in 2 of her last 3; picks up Prat

#3 has won 5 of 15 including 3 of her last 4; Gafflione picks up the mount

#4 seems to like Oaklawn going 14-3-3-3; missed by a neck in her last 

#5 2nd race off the claim by Amoss; ran 3rd to #7 in her last

#6 last have been very dull

#7 has won 5 of 15 including her last for Asmussen; likes Oaklawn going 5-1-2-1

#8 ships in from Parx; last 2 were dull

#10 looks like the best in here with a career record of 12-5-4-0; beaten favorite in 2 of her last 4; picks up Irad for Maker.

#12 won by 7 in her last as the chalk; has early speed but post 12 doesn't help her

#1 has won 4 in a row including 5 of 9 for Asmussen; picks up Prat

#2 has won 7 of 17 including 2 of her last 3

#3 won her last after being on the bench since July; shipped in from Cali in January. Like that she's in the Cherie DeVaux barn. 

#4 ships in from Cali for McCarthy after winning 3 of 4; tired badly in her last trying to go 7F

#5 last 2 were dull but is 10 of 19 ITM

#6 ships in from Laurel after winning 2 in a row & 8 of 15 lifetime; Gafflione gets the mount

#7 has won 7 of 10 @ Oaklawn banking 390k

#8 has won 3 of 5 @ Oaklawn including her last; previously she hadn't won since April for D.Wayne Lukas

#9 has won 1 of her last 8 & Irad picks up the mount

Late pick 5  on Sunday ( 8-12 )looks very enticing, if not for that clunker in the 12th. State breds.

RACE 5 MSW 6F 110K PURSE

#1 closed for 2nd in hos only race; been away since July. Gafflione picks up the mount

#2 rqan 3rd in his only try tiring for Asmussen & his son

#3 bad break but closed well for 4th from 20 lengths off the pace in his only try

#4 0 for 4 with two 3rds

#5 1st time starter with nice workouts of Twirling Candy. 

#6 well bet in both tries; Dylan Davis rides for Amoss

#7 1st timer for Baffert; ships in from Cali & picks up Irad

#8 only 2 tries were dull 

#9 ran a nice 2nd in a nice closing move @ 7-1 @ Indiana Grand

#10 ran 3rd in his last after 2 dull tries

#11 had trouble in both tries

#12 faded to 8th in his only try  

THE QUALITY OF RACES IMPROVES DRANATICALLY FOR THE REST OF THE CARD

RACE 6 ALLOWANCE 1 1/16 M PURSE 130K

#1 hasn't won since August @ Ellis Park; 0 for 9 @ Oaklawn

#2 closed well to get 2nd in his last; only banked 80k in 13 tries

#3 0 for his last 7. BUT trainer Chris Hartman is winning @ 21% at the meet & Gafflione is a big jock upgrade here

#4 has won in his last 5 but has banked 240k

#5 he's run 2 out of 3 duds but McPeek goes to his #1 jock Brian Hernandez. Hasn't really been heavily bet

#6 has won 2 of his last 3 for Lukas; like the daddy American Pharoah 

#7 hasn't won since August; seems to always be right there but fizzles

#8 has won 3 of 20

#9 throw out his last as the chalk & you have 2 nice races before that finishing 2nd & 3rd just missing. Dangerous

#10 has won 2 of 6 for Cox; picks up Pratt; well bet in al his races. Son of Uncle Mo

#11 has been racing @ Lone Star & Remington; last was a dud. Has won 5 of 17 but not sure about this one. This will be his 1st race since being gelded & I like his stalking style.

#12 won his last by 7 @ Oaklawn & was claimed off Asmussen. Previous 5 races were duds.

RACE 7 ALLOWANCE 6F PURSE 131K

#1 hasn't won since December of 2023

#2 keep knocking on the door @ Oaklawn going 4-0-3-0; been away since May

#3 has banked 382K winning 6 of 16 for hot trainer Chris Hartman. Always heavily bet

#4 this is his 2nd race since May was bet @ 4-1 in his last try. Workouts are nothing special

#5 has for 4 stinkers in a row for a trainer who is 1 for 31 at the meet. 

#6 three sharp races in a row for a small barn that is 4-0-3-0. Dangerous IMO

#7 surprised at the 12-1 ML. Won his last & has a nice 7-2-3-0 career

#8 is 9 out of 10 ITM & won his last by a nose @ Oaklawn

#9 has a 5-0-3-1 record @ Oaklawn & a 10-4-4-1 career. Ran 3rd in his last

#10 has won 4 of 10 @ Oaklawn & came wide in his last to grab 2nd @8-1

RACE 9 STAKES 1/16 MILE PURSE 145K

#1 Trainer McPeek's wife owns this one. Missed by a nose 3 weeks ago. Ran 6th to #5

#2 she wins one & loses one pattern. This will be her 1st race @ Oaklawn & picks up Irad

#3 in her last 5 races she's been 1st, 8th, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 2nd. She gets Dylan Davis here

#4 has won 2 of 22 with her last win being November of 23

#5 Love the French connection here of Pratt & Brissett. Got into some traffic in her last settling for 2nd 

#6 moves up in company. Has been claimed twice in her last 3 races. Has only banked 153k but seems to always be right there

#7 been a long shot in almost every race

#8 last 3 races show her in good form & likes the distance

#9 has banked 397k for Asmussen. Last was a stinker

#10 one to beat IMO. 

#11 has won 5 of 12 & will be tough. Likes Oaklawn & the distance

Race 9 Gonna go against the 1 Muhimma although she’s deserves to be the favorite.Down on the inside I’m hoping she gets stuck behind some speedier horses and may have to use some early speed to clear. Tough field. Like the 3, 2 and 6 here. Need a single somewhere in this pick 5.

Glad you like the 4 Hypnus a little bit in the rebel. A few publications have him listed as a toss.

I think Gafflione will try to steal it on the front end with #9 Smoken Wicked but there's a ton of speed in this race. Which.....

Sets it up for a closer like HYPNUS.

Just hope he can run on a fast track.

Gotta see him in the paddock with the big crowd, lots of noise etc
