may have never put so much time in a race and been so unsure of myself but thats gambling..... and this really is a great race . over the years and despite not having the derby and preakness winners it should be very entertaining and if you get lucly ,hitting a tri ,super or p4 , whatever.. can be very profitable.. brain is cooked, the undercard has been more manageable for me anyhow.. the guys in here, angry barber, mikey p, sooner,tygermike and some more have made all the points... the jock,trainer stats mikey provided are tools used by most.. breeding and pace were covered also. i ve been reading pps,watching replays and workouts all along. i may be repeating some of them but heres my take on the field....
#1 tom terrific.. i mean twisted tom,my feeling here is chad has a ny bred gelding who is doing great.. they put 75k up,they get castellano .. but he admitted he needs to get better.. beyers if means anything are in some cases 20 points behind most of these.. with that being said they say he can run all day and night. .think chads keeping real power, cloud computing and timeline for saratoga.. not for me ..but this trainer and jock are ridicoulous
#2 tapwrit, pletcher and jose ortiz.. again.....since 2006, pletcher got 2 belmont wins and was 2nd with bluegrass cat,dunkirk,comissioner,stay thirsty and last yr destin. he got patch and this guy.. hasnt been a real late closer. should be ahead of at least 5 or 6 of these late in the game.. ortiz getting so good.. he might be a big edge,his experience in ny.. i like him alot. works and 6th out of 20 in kty mud wasnt so bad..
#3 gormley.. shireffs and espinoza, who has been on board all his starts.. some say he didnt have a chance in kty mud either, s anita derby wasnt special but the horse he beat ran 3rd in kty.. im more about shireffs not sending out him cross country without him being really ready.. breeding is suspect but most are at this classic, just a good start with his versatile style should have him in the picture for at least a piece..all gimmicks...
#4 j boys echo,dale romans and albarado fresh off the injury...romans 0-8 in ny classic,with 4 thirds however.. 8-0-0-4 he may have beaten cloud computing early at aqueduct.. way before brown got to that guys bottom.. i cant pick them all, today for me i dont like him. but thats me....
