i know you went to bed but youll see this in the am.........why wouldnt the demo results translate if your trading in a live demo account?
Thats where i started and to be honest if i had used the account properly or they had live mini demo accounts i wouldve found my system alot earlier...the only difference i see is that not very many people are going to start with 50k....other than that IDK...
If you got a handle on reading charts and know how to average and can be patient your on your way

"why wouldnt the demo results translate if your trading in a live demo account?"
Still up...aside from the human factor of trading differently when real money is on the line, there are apparently actual objective differences. Some brokers, even large reputable ones like EFX or MB, say on their sites that their demo platform performs better than the live ones because you are only receiving from the market, not sending. Your orders aren't going through the broker to the market, they are just being compared to the data coming down.
Worse, a lot of people seem pretty confident that shady practices go on live, like brokers hedging against the customer, "stop hunting" to close out customer positions, "spikes" in price that hit your stop or take-profit that don't show up in any other broker's data, etc. Unless you're using a broker that has no dealing desk, that goes direct to the market like MB or EFX, your broker is pretty much going to be trading against you to some degree. Scary stuff.

You could always consider a broker like EFXGroup.com or MB Trading. They are direct to the market, so there is no conflict of interest as with most other brokers. The downside is that there is a commission of $5 per 100,000 traded, and that goes each way, so basically $10 if you buy and sell 100,000. Might be worth it for the peace of mind. I'm going to read more reviews before deciding, although I may be stuck with Oanda initially in any case until I build up my account.
