I couldnt get on the net this morning when i woke up had to run out to my brothers house just to see news release...made a good trade in JPY today and was able to scalp some outta AU/JPY yesterday.....i shouldve taken Spanton advice and bought CHF id be up 100 pips right now...Have you been listening to his show Wall?

im holding my $/JPY through the end of the week...we get the right # and shes off to the races...94.50?and if its a turd 89 again but with good averaging it could still net huge profits

Yeah I am up slightly as my only lot is at 1.3425, but to have it there as I usually do (I buy up around 100 pips on an add) is very amature of me to not have placed that order..

The Lb.Yen is underwater but not that bad, I didnt know the reason behind the huge gap up until just recently..I need a stronger source of fast news versus figuring it out hours later.

I would enter a $.Yen long if it pulled back to the 91 area..it has been wallowing in this range for almost a week.

I think we stay in this 70-90 pip range rest of the week...in $/JPY anyway..we got news all week but nothing [in the USD]to really be "market moving" until Friday so playing this range should be $$

Id bet a short would net  30 pips+ from current level once USM closes

Ive noticed that too..it seems the Yen strengthens during the Asian session and weakens since the USM never goes down, or down more than a day in a row or 50 points..

hey buck could you post on here what you look for in your pairs, the ad+/-'s crossing and how you set up your charts.

its pretty simple Papa

+DI crosses up through -DI its a buy.....+DI down through -DI is a sell

also trade crosses of the +DI and ADX line same thing a cross up is a buy down is a sell but you want the RSI to be on your side with these crosses...so if youre buying you want an oversold reading 30s or lower...and when youre selling you like RSI higher..

i dont trade crosses of the -DI and the ADX

Dollar index couldnt hold onto 81.5 today and CHF took it on the chin....Cad also coming back...

EU/CHF NEW RECORD LOW

I hope this reverses on Friday with NFP....i was waiting to buy back into my stock CHK and its already up 10% last day or so but if the dollar can rally back ill be able to get in at $22 again

 EU/CHF longs at an 18:1 ratio over the short side...guess this is why the SNB is slow to react kinda backed into a corner here and will be forced to just give away millions

FXinsider mentioned the ICHIMOKU cloud on the weekly in $/JPY....bottomed of cloud has capped the top of this pair...it rests at 93.64....weekly close above here would suggest a move to the top of the cloud at 95.10

I still got my longs will hold waiting for FRIDAY...

 

selling GBP here..RSI 85...ADX/+DI cross...actually came in the last 4hr candle but it has rallied close to its high...might push higher still but im not gonna be in front of my comp and i dont want to set an order and miss it by a few pips...

shrt entry...1.5180...set a limit for 30 pips...ill check on it when i get back

LB has been on fire the last week almost, I am a little shocked at how on fire given the economy and how the dollar has been hanging in.

Ive been roasted shorting the LB before and this seems to be no different, the worst trade in quite some time..lol

140 average on 3 lots so far.

I wont start getting worried until it breaks 143 but it sure smashed the triple top formed since late Feb, still in a cyclical downtrend on all long term charts though.

i see some EW guys are sayn some counts have this running up to the 1.53s b4 it comes back down....

EU/CHF popped for 200 pips in 4 MINS....and i bought some and jumped out yesterday for 17 pips

This risk trade just keeps going up up up up up...with the USM never dropping for more than one session the AU, LB, EU all are having a monster week.

Let them all run...im having a great week...aside from this GBP trade but we got data coming and it either turns this clunker into a good trade or one i get stuck waiting out...

1.5362 is a 100% retrace since the last move down started on 3/17...Would we expect a violent move higher if it can close up over this level?

The first fib level [0.382]from the big move down from is 1.6080ish...thats starting the drop from around 2.00.....go back another 8-9 months and you could pull fibs from a high of 2.11

Any thoughts here Wall????

ive seen the EW guys target range for this pair but havent seen anybody mention a move higher...guess that would break too many rules making all counts invalid

You know how I feel about the EW guys..I wonder the success rate of EW trading and how frequently it fails (since there are so many ways that failure can be explained)

Where the pair(s) go is a function of the USM and the risk trade, along with the issues regarding Greece/Portugal etc..

Well i almost nailed the top in JPY i called for 94.50 the other day and we saw 94.40....

NFP dont look that thrilling but it seems to have helped the US side of pairs.

It was mostly what they were looking for,i think alot of folks thought it would not be up to par....about to jump out of GBP...i sold more at the release...and im cleaning up right now....shouldve sold EU/$ too but i couldnt pull the trigger

Im going to hold my JPY lots...may see some pullback but i see more gains next week...this has been one of my best weeks ever..

I wouldnt sell the US.Yen long..chart is strong and it hasnt broken that moving average by much in a long time.

I would set a mental stop if it penetrates the moving average on the 4 hr chart, that gives you plenty of room for a mid pullback and see if it can keep running.

Since the gap up on March 24th it has been out of control.

I tell you what though, I need a stronger news source, I see these wacky moves and then the news comes out 20 minutes later..it is like trading blind folded.
