I am not a fan of VZ, they arent a bad company but they arent a GROWTH stock, rather a WMT sort of company..meaning they sway with the SPX. If you are looking for a decent safe divi that isnt a bad call, but I am looking for more aggressive growth.

I am long MGM right now, and will probably buy some more here if it falls below 10 again. Hell, I'll probably buy even if it doesn't fall. I'm an amateur investor, so I'm just going with the name. MGM's presence is all over the strip. And once this economy rebounds, I have no doubt that people will flock back to Vegas to give their money away.

Thanks WS. I'm kicking around a few thoughts and appreciate your advice. I want an aggressive growth stock myself, as I'm not planning on needing this money any time real soon. I'm actually trying to get a portfolio put together to try to fund my 2 year old's college. I would listen to any advice you might have.
