It will be interesting to see what happens when Cardano and EOS actually put out a product.

Market cap down to around 250. I think that’s where it stopped during the other major crash.

Right now none...but Id stick with the higher market cap higher priced ones vs the 5 cent ones with 5 billion market caps.

So ETH BTC BCH LTC XMR but then I would have to check out which performs better and goes down less given a market drop.

Why do you like the higher priced ones, say XMR, vs the Cardanos of the world? Curious to your thinking on that.

I saw an article recently that listed the most stable cryptos and XMR was number one.

If I had to choose an investment of any kind I would prefer one with a lower float...if I dont know anything more about a group of investments and what differentiates one from another (as is the case here) then I would prefer to choose the one with a smaller float all things considered.

So if I really wanted to be into these then I would probably dig a bit deeper and see if I can find a reason one is BETTER than another, if one has a tangible real advantage over another....but I havent done that yet.

Nice bounce so far, looks like the low I saw last night below 6700 has held and some of the names have bounced better than others thus far.

Still early, I saw it dip under 6600 earlier, not really bouncing hard and its a long weekend. Plus I dont have any acct set up and no bank info linked etc. The trend says down even if I was tempted with a few things.

Come onnn Wallstreet! Coinbase takes forever to get verified you were supposed to be set up for this!

You could try Buy Local Bitcoin or whatever it’s called and then ship it from your wallet to Binance.

I also remember the "come on and throw some money in there" discussion a while back and I would have been murdered if I had done that. I think it was when XRP was near 3 and I said I had no idea WHY it was that high and Stellar/Cardano was a buck I think???

I think now is a good time. Just hop in Tether/usdt after it pumps.

What is the hook with tether? Is it a conduit that is easy to transfer from bank to the abyss? I know tether is that worth 1 buck thing (which I thought XRP was targeting btw) but is it the fast way to move money or why do you use that route?

I'm still holding onto my original investment(s) that date back to December.  I'm in the negative, bought a chunk of XRP at $0.75, that one is painful at the moment.  XLM is my largest piece, bought at $0.25

Nothing I'm worried about.  I've gotten over checking prices everyday.  I'm content riding it out until the mass genocide of fake tokens.

Press has been nothing but pessimistic.  Internet companies banning ads, etc..  I'm still a believer, but I'm slowly losing interest.

Cardano will be my next decent sized investment if I ever muster up the energy.

This took me a little bit to figure out as well.

I’ll use Binance as an example because that’s the site I’m the most familiar with. Binance has USDT (Tether) pairings for Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Neo, Binance Coin, and recently added Qtum.

So you can hop from any of the 7 into Tether instantly on their exchange.

All of the other cryptos can only be bought with Binance Coin, Ethereum or Bitcoin. So if you own Lisk, you have to sell Lisk for Ethereum and then Ethereum for USDT.

You use Tether because it is always $1.00. Let’s say buy 1 Bitcoin on Binance for $7000. Then it pumps over the nest week to $10,500... You buy $10,500 worth of Tether and wait patiently... BTC goes back to $7000... You come out of Tether and buy 1.5 Bitcoins.

I’m not sure if I’m explaining it so it’s easy to understand but Tether is a very useful tool in crypto.

A person like Wallstreet does very good in Crypto. Patience is the key. It’s pretty easy to spot when it’s a good time to buy. Like right now is a good time to buy. And then it shoots up, everything is +50% for the week, that would be a good time to hop in Tether.

It’s fairly simple but most people don’t have the discipline. I’ve gotten much better but I’m still not that good. I’ll do something dumb like hop in Tether after a pump, market continues to go up, I feel like the market is getting away from me and buy back in at a bad time and get leveled.

I’ve learned that the market will always come back to you.

So you cant jump out of say XRP to BTC and then BTC to USD? Is that not the way because bringing cash back to get into the game again is a time consuming process?

I dont know how I would navigate this issue of hopping from exchange to exchange in order to get to the coin you want and then hop back so many steps to get out of it and back to "cash" or in the case tether.

I understand what you mentioned in the other post but that to me is the biggest flaw of crypto...that there is no universal method for entering and exiting any or all and doing so efficiently, safely and cost effectively.

To get back to USD you have to use an exchange like Coinbase. So you’d have to go XRP to BTC on Binance, send BTC from Binance to Coinbase, and then BTC to USD.

Yes that’s a problem. The more hops you get away, the higher the risk.

That’s why Tether is a good alternative.

If you buy a low volume coin on a crap exchange with BTC, you could have a hard time selling it back to BTC quickly for a fair price.

But Binance would have just about anything you’d be looking at I would think.

I see what you’re saying. First you have to buy BTC on Coinbase and pay a transaction fee. Then you have to ship it to Binance and pay a transaction fee. Then you have to exchange BTC for XRP and pay a transaction fee.

    It is pretty ridiculous.

It will eventually be the way you want it. But i would want to be in before that happens.

Put 50% back in Tether. Don’t like how it’s made a few runs at 7k and keeps failing.

Well that seems to be a good move, BTC is down to 6500 this morning which is a lower low and others are right in line with the same drop. The volume for a sunday morning seems pretty brisk which is not a good sign.

Yeah it’s making another run at 7000 but I don’t think it will make it. I’m thinking tomorrow but watching closely as it’s hovering at 6930 right now.

My plan is to buy back in under 6500 tonight and then have good day tomorrow. I’ve seen some people calling for 5200. Hopefully they’re wrong.
