glad to see that CHF came around wall, that must have been a month...good to have you back.
 
wasnt around last night and busy today at work, also NFP today so things might get crazy... will probably sit out until sunday night

geez the first trade back has sucked, that Lb/CHF has gone wrong from the fill.

Positive US and LB based pairs so far today.

nothing out there i like right now....CAD is about to have a DMI cross with the +DMI going down so it would be a sell but its already dropped 100 pips......

It is interesting..I am getting back into the swing here and it seem like the DMI and ADX are great at buy indicators but getting a sell indicator is less useful..for example on the month chart on the US/CHF the -DMI moved down through the ADX and kept falling but the pair kept going UP.

I am also noticing an overbought +DMI doesnt mean that much either, especially in short term charts, the AUD/CHF is severely overbought yet it keeps chugging higher.

It seems that you have to be willing to miss a nice chunk of move to get the overbought DMI to calm down before taking a position.

On a week chart the -DMI went down through the ADX when the ADX was severely overbought, and the pair just went straight up 300 more pips since then.

Overbought can keep going and going and going..

Youre right about that but using the 4hr and those indicators works 95% of the time.......i wont trade a DMI cross if the RSI isnt in my favor
 
Look at the charts the crosses are everywhere...2/3 US/CHF 23:00 had a buy with a DMI cross and RSI in the 20s
 
 
CHF 1/26 3am sell DMI cross RSI at 60
 
EUR/USD a DMI buy cross today at 3am......they are everywhere...
the DMI crosses are better than an ADX/DMI cross or at least you can go for more pips
 
 
BTW what is it you dont like about forex.com???They do WT withdrawls...i thought it was up to the amount of original deposit but thats not the case there is no limit and the fee is a flat rate of $25

I didnt like Forex spreads and that they are a domestic firm, I didnt know how the tax issues went and since you mentioned it was just a flat figure that helps, but what kind of form did you get from them?

And how long is the time for a wire transfer on a WD?

So you like DMI crossing RSI better than ADX? I did not know that.

What I am noticing is that overbought and oversold can linger on for an extended period of time.

and a WT takes 2-3 bus days...depending on time of day sent/rec
 
 
the crosses i like the best is the +DMI going up/down through        -DMI with the RSI in my favor
 
like the +DMI coming up through the -DMI with the RSI oversold........EUR/USD early this morning is a perfect example of this cross and the RSI was at 20...
 
The +DMI crosses of the ADX are good but i want the RSI overbought/sold in my favor to go along with the cross..........i dont care for the -DMI crosses with the ADX though......only the +DMI

Not at all..Ive tinkered with Parabolic SAR but not enough to really have confidence in it, that doesnt mean it does not have value just that I havent gotten familar and comfortable.

I just like the site for the charts...ive used several different sites and the charts just arent as good,even when im trading at fxcm i use forex charts....
 
Also reading up on forex.com they are one of the largest at least in amount of $$$$$$ traded daily so i thought that was a pretty good sign....the spreads suck most of the time but im not gonna sweat a few pips per trade....most of the time im getting out and leaving alot on the table anyhow......shit my last trade was 2 lots and i sold out for 40 pips[80 total] and it was good for another 120 pips[240]....so what diff does it make really....
 
 I hope you find a site you like and youll have to let us know about it im willing to try whatever....

well that woulda been good for another 40 so far was just over 1.23 at the time of that post....now 1.2270

I gotta say working for a living sucks....and the amount of people on here that just gamble away large sums of money week after week is shocking.......I mean look through these threads that last few months and look at what weve done here....i dont think anybody still here has lost any money!!!I wish i had the kind of money most of these guys claim to be betting when i first started trading id be on a beach by now....Just one of those 5k bets could bring back a few hundred daily and yet its only a handful of us here still
 
Pops getting pretty good at this and Wall already has trading exp and though you guys arent trading large sums of money yet the pips you made still count....I really thought we would have more folks in here by now....Hope you hang around Rick just open that free fxcm account and trade one lot at a time.....

On a 4 hr chart?

That pair imploded..wow.

So you are looking for overbought/oversold +DMI and find confirmation with RSI to determine a good entry on the 4 hr chart..

That US/CD is in middle territory now, RSI around 43 on a week chart and +DMI is still way above the ADX line.

Im looking for the cross first and then the RSI in my favor...US/CAD cross was almost complete at 1pm or so...the RSI was in the 50s but it had already dropped 100 pips b4 i spotted it....that EUR/USD was just perfect and you coulda bought early in that one looking at the chart....the RSI and +DMI had turned up a full 4hr block b4 the cross

On the EU.USD, it was at 4AM right?

The RSI went down to 30 or so and the DMI went to 15 or so on a weekly 4 hr chart.

The more I look at this LB.CHF chart, the more it looks like a total sell setup, I just got way early using shorter term durations..same goes for the AUD.USD
