I have 500 board feet of clear ash.
A board foot is defined as 12 by 1 by 12 in rough cut space. In each rail there is 1.3 as they are 1 1/2 by 3 1/2 by 50 inches. There are 286 rails I have about hundred 1/2 random widths by four feet. Ash boards planed goes for about 5 a board foot.
This is all not milled I am not using 2500 worth of material to make 500 worth of pallets at this point. I will do something if all I do is make a few bateaus out of it. Until I can do all the parts pallets are on hold.
As for the pallet order the farmer does not care of bevelling for the 4000 pallets needed. We already buy broken or used repair them and sell them. We buy them for three and get 5 for them anyway. He needs them done by august so it will happen anyway. But I have stocked the boards in dry storage and they are drying. Make nice paddles and axe handles out of them anyway.
