Yeah that is unreal, no doubt about it.

10k turns into 100k from one day move.

Check the volume today, someone was active, it traded 10 times its average volume.

wednesday re-run for LVS? just bot 2k for day trade @ 9.65. will see what happens BUT still no stock to loan @ TD and with THAT many shorts out I'm playing the bounce again.

I took it right off the two day chart, walls. LVS floating around 9.80-9.85 right now. dumps down to 9.70 I will probably try it again IF it starts to stabilize there. the up moves are still more snappy than the downs.

blew out @ 9.53. looks like it want's to roll over again. intraday low 9.25.
 
first loss usually = least loss when your on the wrong side

VH2,

I dont get the stock annoucement today from George..it makes NO sense. I havent been able to read anything as to WHY.

The only thing that makes sense is the two Cardiff rigs..he wants them and this is how he gets them, with lots of cash on the balance sheet. Its either that or he is wanting to buy some serious bulkage or a public company.

wall - a colleague of mine owned VNDA last few weeks at 70 cents...sold at 1.20 or so and then yesterday happened

Not nearly as bad but I sold FITB last wk just over 4 and it's trading over 8 today.

Nobody knew it was obvious by the trading pattern..no ramp up, but the volume before was heavier..someone might have known.

Leaving a 7 bagger on the table sucks period.

for what thats worth, my stock picking is like a blind man throwing darts

usually my position needs to puke on itself then settle in for a few weeks to start moving

You have similar issues that I do, which stems from our past liquidity trading, due to the size of our positions that you can never allow one position to go against you for long without severe pain.

These banks are turning again..initial drops in KBE and rise in FAZ and SKF are now hitting their lows.

If this is all the bears can muster, this market will go MUCH higher and fast.

Im in the same boat. Everything i buy goes up about 5% right away, and then vomits and i lose 10%. Then it works its way back up.  Still holding 1/3 of my MGM position. I was hoping for a pullback to $10 or so to get back in. Not looking likely. Got out of Drys at $10 thank god. I will look to re-enter at $6. for now bought SQNM at $3.60 and of course it dropped to around $3.25. I think this could go to $5 anytime now

Here's an interesting article that made me feel a little better about missing the recent runup in financials(althogh my 401k undoubtedly benefitted from it):
 
 
I also forgot to post last wk that I sold my BZH just under 3 for about 150% gain in less than a month. My local contact w/BZH tells me things are still looking up but their earnings rpt last wk was enough to spook me and take my bet off the table.

well this is a small position for now...once this gets into the black then i will buy more

i dont know how many more lies the investing public will believe nor do i know how much more the market can deal with banks doing very little about their bad assets and debt

FINALLY beating some on the gamers tuesday may 12th.......
 
LVS @ 10.05 - 0.85 low 9.80
MGM 12.10 -1.00 low 11.50
BYD 10.80 -1.61 low 10.51 (some "anal"yst put a sell on the stock)
WYNN 45.01 - 3.95 low 44.10
 
STILL no stock to short @ TD Ameritrade in LVS or MGM. I did the old "in-out, in-out" long on LVS near it's lows and picked up two dimes. as long as there are oodles of shorts out I still think the trading trend is up BUT there may be some quick nasty selloffs like today.
 
I LOVE these gaming stock moves for day trading. hit one right on an interday reversal and you clip 'em.
