I know, Vermeer. The future looks hideous, indeed.
And if a "bunker mentality" is adopted, these fascists won't allow the survival peeps to just roam as outcasts.......we'll all be rounded up and shot....a la Waco.

One thing among many is that CNBC might want to move to Dubai or Beijing if they still want to report from the "financial capital of the world."
Of course Jimmy Rogers is already in Singapore so maybe he can help with the move....
The government thought "everyone" should own a house. Now that they found out everyone can't legitimately own one, they will make sure everyone else gets to pay for their insane ignorance in the first place.
It is curious to see the same old retreads consulting over the problems they created. Al Greenspan is on everyone's speed dial.
The one certainty is that the people who have run companies (and the country) into the ground will walk away with hundreds of millions of dollars...
I really can't see this BS working. MS and GS are essentially GSEs now from what I read, just what we need.

Poorly equipped but have contacts in rural areas who are capable of living quite nicely in woods and mountains.Have only weaponry, shotguns, various Ruger handguns, and a few semi military rifles (SKS, the old reliable).
I supply ammo, and some armament. Will bring alcohol and a few women.Other than that, I know a demolitions expert whose talents lay fallow in electrical work.
My idea of survival experience is a Holiday Inn, so a little weak on lodging area.

Got long some QQQQ at 42.89 in pre-market for a "trade" only. This is going to be very quick......looking for 1/4 to 1/2 point max.
Today will be plenty volatile with the moves being directly related to what that worthless gaggle of cacaphony (Washington DC) is spewing in today's daily grandstanding about the 700 billion dollar bailout package for Wall Street executives.
The path of least resistance from a "trading perspective" is up, cause of the bald-headed fascist, so no use arguing with der feuhrer-------you'll lose.

What's going on with AIG right now? I was thinking about buying a couple 100 shares for shits and giggles, hoping they can survive this mess or even possibly get bought out. The thing is, I really don't know what's going on with the company except they are selling off alot of assets. Do you guys know much about the situation? Will AIG be able to pull out of this whole mess?

Do you think I should buy 1/3 more with it being at 8.79 right now? Or do you think it will drop lower?
Sorry..not around the last few days.
Nah..I dont like that buy, lets see what the market tells us, today was pretty nasty and I dont see a great value in adding right at your average cost basis..meaning you arent lowering basis at all buying here.
