To profit by trading binary options you don't need the stocks to break out but to get a position and make decision if they are going to go up (call) or down (put) in a preset period of time. That period is your choice and can be from 60 seconds (I rarely go for that) and up to 3 months (I rarely use that option as well ). I like whats in the middle and if I take long expiry time option - I only do it for middling efforts. Let us say that higher limit predicted by a technical analysis is X+0.0003 and lower limit is X-0.0001, I take Call option and the main decision is the expiry time. That can also be easily decided by looking at the past performance to know if I need an hour expiry or 30 minutes or 1 day. It all depends and is not a difficult scientific decision. Usually shorter is better in that case depending on the sum I decide
