Bachelor Party Help ASAP: hotel, pools, clubs, etc.

Ok so in a tight shitty situation here: going on a bachelor party next weekend and our friend is the WORST best man ever.  Therefore a friend took over planning.  My buddy had us comped at mandalay bay with 2 suites for 3 nights.  Now my buddy cant go so we will not be able to get these rooms without him there to check in.

So, in order to get these same rooms it would be well over $1700.  This kind of sucks because we werent planning on spending much on the room and rather go big in other areas.  Looking at Luxor but reading a lot of bad reviews.  Also looking at RIO (all suites which would be nice for our big group), harrahs (middle of strip), Hilton (cheapest rooms at a decent hotel i could find).  Any suggestions???

I wasnt supposed to have anything to do with planning this thing but like I said WORST best man ever and then my other friends work wont let him off now so with less than 2 weeks away it gets thrown on me.  At this point none of my friends want to shell out a ton of money on a room because we had planned on getting great rooms for FREE.  Not sure what to do here. . . Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks guys.  

If anyone else has any hookups for clubs, strip clubs, or pool parties let me know also.  Looking to hit a club Fri night, strip club Sat night, and possibly pool party sat or sun

Get a Harrah's Players Card and check out the offers.  I've stayed for free at Paris, Ceasar's, Bally's Harrah's etc...  Pretty sure you can sign up for one online at www.Harrahs.com

JW- not sure if this is (most likely) completely irrelevant since your rooms are worth so much more than mine were, but i stayed with 3 friends in march at a comped room in the flamingo. My buddy with the comp couldn't get a flight out till 7 P.M and we wanted to bet the early march madness games so we had him put my name on the room when he made the reservation. I checked us all into the comped room and they never asked for his information or anything since my name was on it. Again I have no idea if this would work for suites as expensive as yours but just a thought.

i asked my friend if he could add me to the reservation but he said he has to be the one to check in and show his card and id.  hes trying to see if maybe he can pull some strings to at least get one room in one of our names but not sure if that will work either

pool parties: Wet Republic at MGM, Tao Beach at Venetian,
 
strip clubs: Spearmint Rhino hands down .........after that, probably Sapphire
 
clubs: Tryst on Saturday night, Bank at the Bellagio Sunday night, Friday night hit Jet at Mirage

If you can get one of the "Go" rooms at Flamingo, take that. The location is great, the hotel itself is boring and forgettable, but it is close to everything and it has a good pool.
 
Harrah's blows, but the location is great to get to the other good places.
 
Rio is run down, but the suite is nice for groups as you mentioned, but you'll be cabbing more than you would otherwise.
 
Try the TI...........they remodeled it completely and it has a great location across from Wynn and connected to Mirage. They often times have good specials on rooms.

lots of coupons for discounts at many of the hotels; been browsing through them and trying to find best deals.  its pretty cool.  i should have my room situated by tomorrow and work on day/nightlife from there

When I went, my buddy has a hook-up (a girl he used to go to high school with) and she gets free rooms all the time. We stayed at TI for free from Thurday-Monday morning. Not that this will help ya, but she had to be the one to check us in. We tried to get around that too, and didn't have much luck.

Lately I've been getting emails from NYNY for $29 rooms during the week, and $69 on the weekends. Maybe check it out, or call them to see if that's a promo for everyone.

Otherwise smartervegas.com is a good site to browse for deals.

Ok so we couldnt get the 2 suites for free, but I was able to get 2 rooms for 3 nights at mandalay for about $600 total.  

I got a good price and just feel a lot better knowing that is all taken care of.

Now trying to figure out the party.

Fri night: probably go to LAX (luxor is next to mandalay).  

Saturday: hit the pool at mandalay

Sat night: looking to go to strip club but havent figured out which one yet.  I heard about a special at cheetahs: $80 gets entrance and all you can drink for 3 hours (will be following this system closely)

Sun: pool, poker tourny, good dinner. . . all up in the air as of now

UPDATE:

Fri night: VIP at club ROK (table, 5 bottles, some girls there to party with for $100 each)

Sat night: trying to work on strip club plans.  looks like might go with the club Cheetahs plan ($80 each; seating and all you can drink for 3 hours)

Sun: TAO beach 

still working on a few things but plans are coming alive. . . cant wait to get there.

if you just need a place to lay your head for cheap i'd go Imperial Palace.. the place is a shithole but it's cheap, right across from ceasars, o'sheas is a decent party place, carnival court is a blast and that's right there... pool sucks and nothing about IP is worthy of vegas but like i said, it's cheap so your money can go elsewhere and it's right in the middle of the strip where all the action is.... shadow bar, house of blues, and rum jungle are good watering holes and with a group of guys if you are bored during the day hit up ESPN sportzone and drop $30 on wings and video games for shits and giggles... for cheap packages check out alligiant airlines, they usually run a 2 for 1 deal that can't be beat for cost....

i disagree on the IP...........complete dump that is not worth it no matter what the price.........even free is not doable for me there......
 
cheetahs? really? ......i would reconsider and hit Spearmint Rhino or Sapphire...........i'll take quality over quanity anyday

MGM was about 1100 for the nights I am going to be there.  That is a good deal you got though but dont have it for this weekend.

The deal I got hooked up with for Mandalay is cheaper than most hotels in vegas for this weekend and the Mandalay is a nice hotel.  Originally to get two rooms for three nights it was about 1200-1500 but I was able to pull some strings and get it for less than $600.  Going to try and pull the $20 trick and who knows maybe get bumped to a suite (cant hurt to try).

have the guy fly out to get you in the suites and then leave no way should he be a douche bag about it just because he cant go

The only POSSIBLE way & I mean POSSIBLE way is if your man is very valued by the casino & has a gracious host. As a VIP guest at all Vegas establishments I have done just this thing. Here goes the story. I sent my parents on a trip to Vegas & it was going to be their first time there. Their flight landed about 5 hrs prior to mine. So, I told my host to make sure (& I implied that my business would be contingent on this) to let my parents check in on my dime (well not really cuz everything was comped but u get the point) because I WILL NOT have my parents toting luggage around for 5 hrs. THEY OBLIGED. So, what Im saying is, your buddy can call & explain that his flight is arriving later but he's out there as the best man in a wedding & the boys need to start setting up for the festivities ASAP. Now of course, they wont know that he's never going 2 show but it's your only shot!!

Rhino definitely seems to have the best talent around from my experience there.  It is often very jam packed though it seems.

Sapphire was my original pick.  one of our buddies suggested the all you can drink special at cheetahs because our group likes to drink and party a lot.  

Isnt 100% locked up yet.  We'll see. . .

basically thats kind of what we did but didnt work out 100% like your situation (my buddy isnt a HUGE high roller so probably doesnt have as much pull).  all in all not too bad and worked out all right.
