Casino dealer mistakes w/payouts

I've been paid on multiple card draw -pushes a couple times ,a dealer off his game that night and seen it happen to others..Once the new hand is done I'll just make eye contact to the fellow player that I noticed what happened. You hope no one says a word..

It's a nice surprise when it happens,once though some old loudmouth bitch speaks up and rat's out my hand..dealer pulls the cards out of the discard box..Maybe $50 but big swing at $15 table..I had to act like I though made the 18 whatever vs the 17 so as not to look like the douche..This elegant lady I was playing with was wacthing out for the casino's best interests..

 And karma will take it away also,I lost a green $25 at the Borgata coloring in green roulettes.placed it on top of a couple stacks and was counted as a dollar..

One trip my wife went up to the craps table at Paris and put $100 down to buy in. They gave her a stack of greens instead of reds. She doesn't play often and didn't know what to do. She was flustered and wanted to play for $5 so she asked for a check change on 4 greens!! They still didn't notice their mistake and gave her 20 reds.

That was quite a "win" for her.

A few at 21 here and there, but I remember this (not a dealer mistake) moreso. Back when I was in college my broke-ass buddies and I would drive to Vegas and play $2 blackjack. So we are playing and having fun and the pitboss is chatting with us. The dealer gets an ace up and asks if anyone wants insurance. No takers (the table was full, me and two buddies and 3-4 old farts) and then the pitboss peeks at the hole card and says "does ANYONE want insurance?" basically telling us the dealer had a face card down.

My buddies and I all take insurance, but none of the geezers do, and of course the dealer had a blackjack. It was so obvious the pit boss was telling us this, and we cracked up that the geezers couldn't see the obvious 

This bitch probably thought she was doing the dealer a favor to correct his mistake..I wanted to tell her STFU and the rest of the table you could tell was on the same page..

 I'm not going to throw the dealer any mistake $ back to him unless he realized he goofed up and let it fly..But if he's oblivious to his game that day,no.But chances are if he's not a douche dealer,he's getting action on my hands frequently.The make or break hands during a winning session/triple splits,doubles I'm always adding to the dealer play..I'm a low roller and easily go through a stack of dollars with a $150 buy-in..If I cash @ $300 I'm guessing that's $35-40 to the dealer pool and a few to the servers.

I can't play the game any other way. Was playing at the Gold Coast (I learned after a few sessions not to ever again) The Asian women dealers are ruthless..So I'm in a training session game,one old one supervising the new one..I'm playing one for the dealer,I lose,no "Thanks for the try",nothing..Same thing a few more times,and I spoke up to the super- Teach her some BJ dealer etiquette for chrissakes..I don't think they like white players that much on the floor,but that is another story.

I got another- my buddy and me were slumming it at O'Sheas one day a bunch of years ago,he goes to the cage to cash out some combo of chips for about $32 iirc...Teller counts them,hands him the cash and pushes the chips right back to him!..Crazy I go back in about 20 minutes later and cash them in again.

Oh dear the gold coast, I broke in at the Gold coast before moving back to Sunny San Diego.

Here is what I was told when I showed a little emotion toward a player who lost a big hand while the player was tipping, I was told and I quote.

Dont shake your head, dont show any signs of emotion, You will learn to hate these fucking people after a while.

Its a break in house and the suites know you wont be dealing there long and they will treat a dealer like crap, I remember the morning pit boss we will call him Mike, I would get off work at 10 am and he would start at 9, If I saw him on break I would say good morning Mr. ******* and he would never reply, the one morning I didnt say good morning, this douchebag ripped me a new one, who pissed in my cornflakes this morning blah blah blah

I own a sportsbar and restaurant now so last trip I stopped in and ripped him a new one and left lol.

When did you work at the "Old" Coast as I call it? I was there from 2005-2010 in the sports book.

You missed me by about a month or two, I worked April 04 thru December 04 then got hired at a San Diego Casino called Pala resort and spa.

Dale And Scott were the supervisors of table games.

Gold Coast used to be my favorite place for Blackjack.

 Many double deck $25 a hand, no mid deck entry. Hand Shuffled

  Most casino's on the strip use that machine to auto shuffle every couple hands.  I like to watch the dealer shuffle.  If you can track a clump of good cards in the shuffle you can cut it in play.

However, last time I was at GC the rules changed and they allow mid deck entry.  As well as this casino is a big Asian hang out who are notorious for not taking cards when they should (16)

Like you said Karma gets back to you in the end.  My last session I busted the first hand.  Everyone at the table made a hand and the dealer busted and payed me as well.  I gave it back to him and my friend said I was an idiot but I walked away with $350 profit so I left it to Karma.

chef with all due respect, When the dealer shuffles, the first thing we do when we split the cards in half is turn them at a 90 degree angle, that and the fact the shuffle especally at the gold coast was a staggered shuffle made it impossible to track any clumping.

If you are looking for dealer mistakes, the gold coast is a prime place to play as is lasvegas club downtown as these are notorious break in houses.

Another reason its an Asian hang out is the low min bet on bac, High max on every bac table and free hand philosophy, the asians like to pic their spots on bac.

Tetraphobia..They must like the 8 though with all the casinos issuing the year of the "" in $8 denom. Same thing here with the 13. with hotel floor #'s and Fridays falling on the 13th etc..

Not claiming to be a shuffle tracker or a counter, just like the fact that if I see 8 Aces come out in a double deck I know there are no more versus the likes of the Bellagio where it seems no more than 2 hands are dealt before the cards are loaded in that "Tommy gun" shuffle master thing.

I don't play sic bo or baccarat so have no idea about the 4 position.

As far as the GC being an Asian hang out, the distance to China down and cheap housing mre than likely contributes to that as well.  Also Ping Pang Pong kicks ass.

Too easy. 4 in chinese sounds like die or death. Not good. BTW. Dealers are notorious for making mistakes in pai gow. Just too much for them to think about in that game. Only say something if it affects your own hand,

yeah they are scared of the number 4, So any casino with half a brain removes it from the bac table.

Vegas style Pai gow it would take a real stupid dealer to screw it up as the joker is only used for Aces, straights or Flushes. CA Style Pai Gow where the joker is completly wild, that is where mistakes can be made and are quite often.

Mafioso- Truer words have never been spoken. I could go on forever about the ignorance of some of the people that came into the book. Dale was a shift boss when i left in Jan 2010. A lot of dealers didn't care for him, but I thought he was alright. He wasn't my boss, so maybe that has something to do with it. Scott N (if we are talking about the same person) is now an asst general manager. I will say the GC really has gone downhill since Boyd came in 2007 and instituted their policies. They are one CHEAP outfit!

I earn my winnings by playing it right.

i was at this casino in philly, sugar house, on a friday night after they first opened up. it had to me the most ghetto casino ive ever seen. (sorry scalabrine, but im calling a spade a spade)

so i sit down at the table and my wife is behind me just interested in getting some drinks. so the dealer looks like he just got out of jail with all these tatoos on his hands, neck and face.

so im sitting at 3rd base at a $25 BJ table. the table is all older asain women chain smoking and its really pissing off the dealer. he keeps yelling at them "to stop blowing the muthafuckin smoke in my face". you could see he was happy when they lost and upset to pay them when they won.

so i start bullshitting with him and we're cool. he actually yells at one of the ladies to get up cause shes not playing anymore, 'if you ain't playing..you cant be sittin'... then get a waitress to put her tray down and bring the chair over to my wife...it was ridiculous. 

so anyway, he starts giving me advice on my hand as long as i 'hit him off outside' when he goes on a break. he goes 'you cant be worried about that what that book says and just listen to your boy' so im thinking whatever and i see what hes doing. he starts looking at the pull card and tells me what to do.

so im sitting on a 16 with a dealer 6 up and he takes a peek at the next card, looks at me and says 'we doubling on this', im like yea whatever and signal stay, he goes 'nah man, put out some more chips on it and double it up'. so i say 'what should i do?' he says 'add 3 black to the top, and then double it up' so i do what he says and have a total of 1K on it. he adds a 5 to my 16 and the dealer breaks. i should stayed, he shoulda made 21 and everyone woulda lost.

so ultimately, no one saw anything, he went on break, i gave him his piece and he said 'anytime you need to make some change, you come to my table homie' he gave me a pound and we went our seperate ways. i never saw anything like that before in my life

I see you are NJ..if ever in Harrahs AC.there's an asian dealer,name is Fred,in his late 40's I'd guess,Jackie Chan lookalike.If I spot him on duty when I'm there I'll sit and play.He rewards the tippers with some timely advice is the only way I can describe my sessions with him dealing.This based on quite a few sessions over quite a few years.Just a fwiw
