Lets here some stories of celebs or athletes you have seen/talked to in Vegas..
 
Ive only been there once...
 
Saw, and had a short convo with Jaromir Jagr in the MGM
 
also met Tito Ortiz in the MGM while he was there for a UFC event

I met Floyd Mayweather the January before the Mayweather/DLH fight and he was as nice as he could possibly be.  Saw him in the shops at Caesars, and even though it was closing time for a lot of places, he still chatted and took a picture.  I told him I was planning on making a large wager on him, and jokingly he replied "bro you gonna get PAID"

Also saw Joakim Noah, and split a cab with a dude that was one of Eminem's buddies in the film 8Mile. . .

Met Nicholas Cage and wife at the Bellagio.
 
Played 3 card poker 1 table down from Allen Iverson, what an insane crew he travels with

Haha, I play card about other weekend at Canterbury Park in Minnesota (about 30 min drive from the Target Center). And when the Pistons were in town, I guess AI and his posse along with Sheed were there playing 3 card poker. It made the local paper because they were asked to leave for being too loud.  I wasn't there, but I read the article.

You play at Canterbury Walter? I meant to say I go there every other weekend. You live near by? I'm just confused because it says you're in California. I love Canterbury, very well set up...what limits do mostly play there?

I saw Rip Taylor in the PioneerSupermarket on LVBlvd in the NakedCity.He was wearing a wig.

One afternoon we were sitting in the Stardust Book and David Hasselhof came up to one of the windows and made a bet.Stardust was running a slot promotion giving awat a KITT car like he drove on his series.Someone went to the window and asked the teller who he bet.He was acting low profile so nobody would mob him for autograghs.The teller said he bet the Dodgers but didn't move the #.I think he was just embarressed to be betting the sucking Dodgers,(late 80's)

i don't know if this really counts as an encounter because it was planned, but I met and hung out with Daniel Negreneau for a couple of nights.  My buddy is really good friends with his ex-wife (his wife at the time), and we met up with them at the Cheesecake Factory @ Caesars, where I got frickin' wasted.  Then the next night we met up with at the sports bar at the Monte Carlo and then rode in his WSOP Player of the Year truck over to the Tropicana for the comedy show, where I got frickin' wasted, again.  He's really laid back,and he actually coattailed me on a sports bet, we had Rutgers in a basketball game catching like 10.5, and they won, which brought on some Jager shots. 
 
He's very cool and calm, you'd never know he is the most famous poker player in the world.  He wouldn't let me pay for anything, which I actually don't like, I prefer to be the one spending the money, but he absolutely refused. 
 
I also got in a limo one time out there, and the driver said that the night before, Iverson and his boys smoked about an ounce of weed in it while he drove them around town.

bumped into pauly shore at the pool at the hard rock. he had a cabana next to mine.  cool guy.
 
played poker next to cato caylin at the mirage about eight years ago.  not much to say...kept to himself.

Haha, I like how AI and his posse get mentioned all over the place. Good to see he's setting a good example and being a quality role model for todays youth.

I've lived here for two years, and used to visit several times a year, for many, many years, and I really haven't had any encounters with celebrities.

Of course, I don't go looking for them, nor to I regularly hang out at any place they'd probably be. 

I've seen tons of pro poker players around world series time, but that doesn't count.  I did see Phil Ivey playing craps with one other dude on a reserved table at the Red Rock.  I also saw Lebron James in the lobby there once.

I was at Mandalay Bay for the Super Bowl and was hanging out at the Starbucks just outside the casino floor before kickoff. Chuck Lidell was there with a friend and what I assume was his girlfriend. He was cordial with everyone who approached him and took pictures. I live in Los Angeles, so celebrity doesn't faze me. I've never approached one. Though when I do see Jessica Biel at Runyon Canyon, I want to ask why she always looks so miserable then then offer my phone number. FU Timberlake

I have seen a lot of them but the only "encounter" was the one I posted a few weeks ago where I played 1-2 NL at the Red Rock with Orel Hershiser

He was a very nice guy

Not a huge celebrity of anything but had a couple drinks with Anthony Bourdain at the Palms bar on the casino floor.  Interesting dude.  How many ex-junkies you know travel around the world with their own TV show.

I find Bourdain's musings on "No Reservations" pretty funny, but his constant condescension and outright derision towards vegetarians gets kind of annoying (I'm still mortified by the slaughterhouse scene in "Faces of Death", though I consume dairy and seafood). Though it would be nice if he were on Top Chef more often. By the way, next season's Top Chef will be filmed in Vegas. Rumor abounds that it will be based at the M Resort. All decrepit old, rich men be on the lookout for Padma Lakshmi. She must have a dual money, wattle fetish.

I saw him playing at Bellagio a couple years ago. Cash game and not very high stakes. I'm a huge Dodgers fan so that was cool to see him. I always thought he was dorky and a family man. Pretty sure he's divorced and looked and dressed a lot more hip than I ever imagined he would. Think he's living the life now!

I met Sam Rothstein playing high stakes blackjack.  We hit it off.  I told him I wanted to do a movie about him where he was a gay cop and I was his young gay roomate.  He liked it.  Then we went back to his room and played Monopoly until I slipped him a mickie and he was out like a dead light bulb.  I had fun with him basically is the subtext of the story.

While walking in the parking lot and a little buzzed at the Hilton my brother and I saw who we thought was King Kong Bundy. He was a couple hundreded yards ahead of us and my brother started yelling out BUNDY!  BUNDY! Well it turns out that it was not King Kong Bundy and it was Butterbean. We still laugh to this day thinking how we almost became one of Butterbeans famous first round knockouts.

i have ran into tommie lee in the airport, seen ice-t and his wife at the mandalay bay.
 
in atlantic city ive seen rip hamilton playing craps, seen patrick ewing and charles barkley playing blackjack together, and have played blackjack next to jeremy shockey's table at the borgata and he actually got into a fight on the table with another person and the chairs flew everywhere and they both got kicked out.

oh and btw, another iverson story is that he is not allowed back into bally's in atlantic city either for what i believe is him pissing in a fountain while riding up the escalator that takes you to the second floor from the casino.
