Was playing craps at the Mirage in 97 when a friend told me to turn around. Playing Blackjack at a table directly behind me was Michael Jordan with a big fat cigar. Had his own table and security standing behind him shooing people away as they tried to get close.

FWIW, I heard MJ hangs out a lot at the Hard Rock in Tampa with his big stogey and rarely tips the dealers.

I was in Tahoe at the same time as the celebrity golf tourney and saw too many to mention. Brett Hull, Emmitt Smith and Big Ben were all very cool.
Now to MJ - He's completely dilusional....He truly believes he is god-like and deserves to be treated that way. I know for an absolute fact - he does not tip anyone! All employee's of Harrah's are not allowed to speak about his play to anyone either or he will not come back. He talks down to every service person he encounters - regardless of their approach to him.
This especially hurts as he was an idol of mine growing up and attending his basketball camps as a young teen.

That's sad because as the champ Mike Tyson says we all do stupid shit when we're fucked up.

Not Vegas, but funny. I was playing golf in Fairfield Glade, TN and his friend in the clubhouse asked hin if we wanted to play with the twosome in front of us. John Daly was one with a friend of his, the part that is funny is that morning I rin read in the paper he was in rehab and would be there for at least 3 weeks. When I somewhat kidded him he said he gets to come and go as he pleases and he was pleased to be gone. This at 9:30 am and he had a beer in his hand.
Sitting in a midwest Hooters two summers ago eating and who walks in around 3pm. John Daly who just finished his fist round at the John Deere Classic. I approached him and introduced my boys to him and he was funny with them, but according to a friend that is the the manager he stayed into the late night got hammered and obnoxious and yes he played the 2nd round but missed the cut of a very easy tournament.

Just got back from Vegas... last Saturday saw Kim Kardashian inside Sephora, next to the Venetian... saw a big crowd and asked who was in there. She was there for a photo shoot for her new perfume. Yesterday was walking in the Forum shops at Caesars and looked in a sports memorabilia shop and saw that Pete Rose was there signing... Got my pic taken with him.

Was playing at the MGM poker room and sitting at the same table with David Chase, the writer/creator of the Sopranos. The seris finale had ended a few months before and he kept talking about Tony Soprano getting whacked. No one knew who he was until he went to the bathroom and the dealer told everyone we were playing with a celebrity. When he came back I paid alot more attention to him. He opened up his wallet and has..looked like around $900-$1000 in it and he played very tight.

Saw Mike Tyson in the Jewelry Shop at LV Hilton, doors were closed so he could be alone in there. About a year later after his conviction and jail time - I visited the same jewelry store, asked if they ever heard from Mike - the lady behind the counter said no, they haven't heard from him and he owed them $300,000. Not making this up.

Summer of 08 I met Greg Oden and Brandon Roy at the mandalay bay. They were playing in the summer vegas camp. I also saw Marlyn Waynes at the mandalay sports book. In November 2010 I met gary sheffield at the palms and shook hands with Michael Kay.

Played Blackjack at the Bellagio inside of Club Prive with Antoine Walker in March 2009 before all the bad press came out with his gambling debts. Great guy to squeeze cards out with. Seemed to care about your hand as much as his own. Table pulled a great win out and before dealer turned her card I asked him to do his 3 point shimmee dance if we won and he actually did it. We had a ball. Looking back he bought in at the table for about 20k, if I squandered 50-60 mill like he had at the time why even bother. Great guy but more of a degenerate than myself.

I spotted Milton Bradley at the MGM 5 or 6 years ago when he was still a Dodger. He was a cool dude. He was actually pretty flattered that I recognized him, but being a Dodger homer it was pretty easy.

Went down with a friend who is cousins with the head vip at hard rock. it was the guys 40th bday and had a bash the whole weekend...
was on stage during Akon's concert and during was on stage with Floyd Mayweather and his massive bodyguards, superman (guy from the tv series), rampage jackson (every day for the wknd - he was the champ at the time), a few others, one of the guy from Soprano's (Tony's sisters hubby).
I told Rampage that if he didn't watch his step with me, I'd knock him out...I'm obviously smaller and he laughed.
and tons of hot girls that weekend...best wknd in vegas by far. a lot goes your way when you bypass all the lines at the Hard Rock, esp Sun am for Rehab.
...I miss Vegas.

Shared a elevator at the LV Hilton in 87 with Mark Gastineau and Brigitte Nielsen. She was pregnant and then heard Gastineau chuckle "wish he (Stallone) could see you now"
