you might consider still betting your games online instead of at a sportsbook. If you have multiple offshore books, then you will have multiple places to bet them. It is not easy to go to multiple sportsbooks in Las Vegas. They take a lot of time to get to. And some sportsbooks may not even have totals up for the games (the bigger ones will).
Also, betting online means you dont have to carry around a lot of cash for your bets.
Doing so means you need access to a computer (laptop) in your room. That can be a hassle but it's still much more convenient that way IMO.

I am heading out next week for the second time. I am staying at Planet, last time i stayed at Bally's. I went through Southwest and I got rooms for 65 per night and air for less than anyone on line. 4 nights and air from the East Coast like $600 one person to a room.
At Bally's the rooms were great!

At the Belligo last year the table limits were $100 per hand at Bally's $10. But Bally's sports book felt like you were at a Sportsbar in a mall, while at The Belligo it was sweet and great to watch a game. Both gave free drinks ect...
BTW the Belligo is next to Bally's and it is a 15 minute walk.
Last advice if you are a East Coast guy cards in the AM and Sports at night and do not gamble exhausted.

kgc...did u wanna stay on the strip for sure?? theres a local casino that is new in the last 6 mos the rooms are $30 a night as long as they are at less than 50% occupancy and i think u can reserve that now if its not at 50% at the moment for that time period and its not a dump at all..flat screens in every room. check eastsidecannery.com. its about 10 mins from the strip. if you wanted the "vegas experience" this isnt the choice (unless you mind goin back n forth to the strip) but its cheap! thanks for all ur time n great picks brotha! i live here obviously so if u want ill get you a couple o beers while ur here

Its the best bargain on the strip. For a first time visitor I'd recommend staying away from downtown.You will more than enough to keep you busy on the strip. Thayt had a 5 dollar blackjack table early in the day and actually rated our play,which woulnd up knocking almost 200 bucks off of our room at Excalibur All thos casinos are part of the MGM clan. Make sure you call the hotels and get the information on any conventions they may be hosting during the time of your stay. Some hotels also offer discounts to union members. I'm not sure if you are a UFT member or not, but won't hurt to ask.
