anyone know of any hotels offering deals for september? I'm not looking to stay in a bellagio suite but Im good with Tropicana or some run down place on the strip for 30 bucks too. any ideas?

Get yourself a Harrahs players card out there, play some bj and bet a few games using the card.  Easy way to get free/heavily discounted rooms for future trips. 

I usually use Travelzoo.com for booking deals.  They seem to have all the latest cheap deals with the discount codes
