I went to the seminar last year.  The first day provided a lot of good information for people that are just starting to handicap sports.  For those handicapping for a while, they pointed out practices you tend to forget over time.  The second day last year was more in depth and lots of questions and answering. 

As far as the recommendations for picks.  I was focusing more on College Football and found that James Manos' picks were great.  I followed them because they were pretty much on line with my own research.  He definitely had better results. 

I think the purpose of the convention isn't to give out free picks, but more to fine tune betting strategies.  

I'll be going again this year.
