So Comps are so stupid now

You can look at your account. It is not what you have played but what you have won and lost.

Why don't you just give them the money and hope they buy you lunch?

So I was in Vegas for what was supposed to be October 15th thru October 20th

Killed it at the sportsbook

9 grand up

Here is how things went and Ill get to the comps at the end of it

It was a 5 day comped trip with a 200 dollar food credit, so lets start with that.

Day one Thursday

did well at the book ate at Samba Steak with my uncle and then hit the blackjack table

was stuck 4200 on the table after an 8 hour fight was down 200 called it a night.

Day two Friday

Nailed the college games Houston -21 came thru in a big way as I had it parlayed with BYU Under and straight bet

Met a friend of mine at Prime Steakhouse at Bellagio as Sportsnetwork had important family obligations

the Bill was 350.00 I had it charged to my room and my buddy picked up the 100 dollar tip.

Back to the Mirage

Played for only 2 hours as I had to wake up early to bet the 9 am games at the book Won 900 playing blackjack

saw my host and asked him for the couch box seats asked for 3

He said Ill arrange it for 3 and have it charged to your room and Ill see your play at the end of your trip and see how much I can comp

I said I need them for Saturday and Sunday.

Those seats are 125 each so for 3 people at 2 days that is 750 + tax and tip are added THAT PART CANT BE COMPED

Saturday

Nailed it nailed it nailed it nailed it

the afternoon games were scarce for me the only game I liked was TCU/Iowa St Under 68.5

played it for 990 to win 900

Felt sick at halftime as the score was 24-21

Left my buddies at the book and hit the blackjack table

in less then 2 hours I was up 1400

I asked the pitboss to please change it from espn to espn2

and tcu was taking knees up 45-21

Holly crap I hit it

stopped playing cashed out went back to the book

bet 550 Oregon/Arizona Under 28.5 2nd half and 550 Over 24 UTAH/Arizona St.

Nailed them both

went Downtown had some of the best tacos ever at Tacos El Gordo

got back and played for almost two hours of blackjack and lost 1300

Sunday nailed practicly every game except Washington +7.5 but no complaints even money lined Carolina vs Seattle and hit a 200 3 teamer with chargers +10 vs Packers Carolina +6.5 vs Seattle and Colts +10 vs Patriots

Played 4 hours of Blackjack won 700

Monday night supposed to be last day of the trip

Nailed Philly -3.5 and a parlay with Philly and Under

went to Gordon Ramsay Pub at Caesers Palace

People thought my uncle was Angus Young from AC/DC We played along lol they took picks

Lost 400 in 20 minutes playing slots cause my uncle convinced me its my lucky trip

spent 230 tip included at Ramsays Well worth it btw.

Get back to Mirage at around 11:30 PM

Hit the blackjack tables and things went bad

Next thing I know its 11 AM I had already arranged late check out with my host but now I know I need an extra day

I walk in to my hosts office he isnt there but another host is

I give him my room number and he says you need another night, No Problem You got it.

I go back to the tables Im stuck 3600

I buy in another 3K and lose

I buy in another 3K this time in the highlimit room as hitting soft 17 was killing me all night in the regular pit

It is 8:30 PM now Monday night

Im approached by a pitboss and he says Mr. S#### can I get your drivers licence and social so we can update our records

I knew what he was wanted lol

I said Dude Im not going 10 grand or over

no need to title 31 me

He was startled

I hit another miracle run like I did the first night

Got it all back and 1700 more

went to my hosts office and texted him telling him, Im in his office

He comes in and sees almost 12K in chips and he yells Holly sh*t You got it back Awesome Bro

So here is what was comped

6 night room stay total the rooms were going for over 180 a night lots of conventions that week and weekend so say 1500 total

750 dollars in VIP Sportsbook seating

350.00 meal at Prime

90.00 meal at Samba

210.00 meal at Herritage Steak house

My uncle ordered room service twice at

85.00 total

That play covered almost 3,000.00 in comps and I won

Not only didnt lose but won over 4k at the tables and 9k at the sportsbook

sportsbook winnings dont count ofcourse for comp ratings

but my next trip is already for Thanksgiving Weekend

Will be there thursday friday saturday sunday monday coming back tuesday

All comped and a 500 food credit to start with

the comps are there

Just depends on the hours played and how much per hand

Being a progressive bettor I had hands where I had 400 500 600 700 800 being played

It also doesnt hurt to be ultra pleasant with the Dealers and pit crew as i know the two Ohio Gals over rate me cause I really enjoy having conversations with them.

I was a floor at Gold Coast and Palms. Trust me, personality matters. You have discretion on average bets for long periods of play. Also, if the host was a cool person and I knew they were not a snob I'd hook up there players.

mafioso, I have gone to mirage last 4 years for Superbowl weekend 4 nights each year wager tons at tables and slots and also hours in sports book a day. I have never even gotten a host is there a trick? I emailed them asked at window and notjing. I was talking to guys last year they were wavering way less than me and had invited to the big game party I can't even get those Nd bet thousands a day ....

no wonder I do not get comped

that is some serious gambling bro!

Out of nowhere, Caesars is comping me again. Nothing huge but got free 3 nights at Linq for this last weekend and the party and invited back for Super Bowl Party but I have to pay 100/night for the room. Not much of a comp I know but parties run 100/head and I like the big screens in the conference centers.

I played for 2-3 hours last trip at 100/roll in craps. I won about a dime the first night and a nickel the second.

Not sure if they will invite me back..........

With my play I usually only get midweek sh it.

It doesn't take much to get free rooms at CET properties. They LOVE slot action. Blackjack, not as much, but if you're playing $25 per hand shouldn't be a problem to get free rooms.

Agreed, after years of giving me no rooms they are giving me free weekends almost every week now for the last couple of months on not huge action.

I usually plan on losing no more than 1500 a trip at the worst and this last trip walked away ahead.

This post started after my last winning trip when they then denied me comps because I had won. They stated they would comp only on losses, how lame

Check out the cosmopolitan. They have some of the best rooms on the strip and they are always comping. Tara is my host very nice and willing to help out in any way.

the Mrs and I have lived in Las Vegas since 1990 and because I had a week on-week off flying job when we lived in Houston we would come out to the town at least once a month in the 1980's and stay downtown at the Union Plaza. back then comps were set by the casino manager and his pit bosses. there was NO damn "players card". your comps were as much about IF they LIKED you and wanted you in their casino as about your action. because the Plaza's manager was an aviation nut he used to comp just about everything even though our play was NOT the big.
