Mrs and I went to Westgate for the $5 locals "hobble & gobble" buffet Monday and like MoneyGone said earlier with NO event at the convention center the gates were OPEN so NO hassel with getting a ticket validated which, like sports_Network said, is really NO big deal IF you are a player
It doesn't matter how much you bet to get the parking ticket validated? They started that $20 dollar parking again. Yesterday it was free. Seems like such a hassle for sports book players.

what was once a major convenience to the SuperBook, and the reasoning why many 'local' players chose the Hilton, now the Westgate, was the 'parking' That back lot; you might as well say "was attached to the SuperBook" now it's a pain in the azz...to pay or not to pay $20 Is there a convention in town who gives a fukc, the lot is, and has been SuperBook parking for 32 years, always complimentary. Now you've got 'pin-heads' making ludicrous, if not downright asinine decisions based on sheer greed (Westgate parking has nothing to do with any convention status participation, they simply shut there sportsbook customers OUT to pick up an extra 4k in parking revenue) peanuts in comparison to the 20k (low-ball minimum, that the SuperBook would generate by exclusive complimentary parking...(understanding, everybody that uses the lot is going to gamble)
solution: There are still a number of outstanding sportsbooks in LV that offer free, and very convenient parking to its patrons, unfortunately, they have become 'rare' on the strip.
convenient, and complimentary: Southpointe, Red Rock (all Stations books throughout Vegas) M Resort, just to name a few of many, and my particular favorites......the SuperBook offers a lot, many lines and props that are found nowhere else, especially when it comes to the NHL...and their NFL Teaser, and parlay cards are second to no one....I've made an arrangement, as others can also do, and still parking is always complimentary to the player. talk to the manager for the details...he's not a pin-head, and understands.

They don't care. Unless you have a players card at a high enough level from gambling, you will have to pay.

haven't been past the Westgate recently so do NOT know IF they discontinued validating parking at the sports book BUT it would NO surprise me. the latest from the David Siegel "squeezer" crew is the cut out the $5 buffet "hobble & gobble" for locals after stopping the 25% discount at their restaurants ans snack bars.
for me and the Mrs any more it is only go there IF I need to do business at the sportsbook. place has become a complete tourist trap WRECK like any other strip hotel-casino

haven't been there in ages for the reasons stated BUT used to be NO minimum bet to get the parking validated in the past. in fact they would validate IF you had a phone account and just went in to deposit or withdraw BUT that may have changed

What's the "hobble & gobble" what do you mean by, $5 locals? is it every Monday?
the "hobble & gobble" was the nickname of a cafeteria I used to eat at in Winston, NC when I used to go there for simulator training with the airline. was inexpensive and had seniors deals SO the old people would "hobble in and gobble up" the food hence the nickname
that is why the Mrs and I call the Westgate buffet the "hobble & gobble" because from Sunday thru Thursday it costs just $5 for locals with a Nevada ID and points on their players card which are used to pay. one of THE few really "Old Las Vegas" buffet deals left in this town
well "Mr Time Share" finally did it. discontinued the $5 buffet for locals Sunday thru Thursday special. THAT'S IT!!! FUKK 'EM!!! Mrs and I ONLY go to the Westgate when she has comp money to play video poker (AND it has to be a decent amount) OR when I need to deposit or withdraw from my phone account
