In 2006 was riding College hoops pretty hard and making out like a bandit. Went to Vegas in mid February and stayed at the Bellagio. Anyways I really really really liked 10 games that day. YES, 10!
I did a 10 team parlay. I boxed in every combination of a 9 team parlay. I did the same with every possible combination of 8 teams, all the way down to 2 team parlays. I was taking HOME favorites straight up! It literally took the guy at the window 30 minutes to figure out what the f**k I'm trying to do.
I rarely watch games I have action on by the way. So I go down to the Venetian that evening and start playing craps. I'm getting sh!t faced and my chips keep changing colors and filling the rail. I meet a nice PLUS SIZED woman from Philly and we start dry humping at the table before the stick man informs me that I'm having a pretty good night and that I might want to color up and leave. I turned a grand into roughly 5 grand in a few hours. Being drunk as a skunk I kept pressing bets when I should have been taking them down. As I starting heading back to the Bellagio with this this lady from Philly it dawns on me that I have a ton of college hoops bets. I whip out my Nokia phone and click onto Yahoo sports to find out that I have hit 9 of my 10 picks. I literally lost the tenth game by a point at the buzzer. I scored a little over 36k! Had I hit the tenth game I would have won close to $108,000! Let's just say Ms. Philly got a pounding she wont forget. That adrenaline high lasted for almost a week!
In hindsight those bets were ridiculous. I would have been better off just dumping a ton on my two strongest plays.
