You guys arent grasping that he cant come forward against a Guy like Weidman because he knows it would make it easy for Weidman to shoot and get the takedown.  He has to play his head games and force him to come after him and he did.  Weidman was able to avoid anything Silva threw and was never hurt at any point of the fight while Silva was dominated for a majority of the first round before all that garbage started happening.  Silva is a counter puncher and wasnt able to connect before Weidman did,  he got beat at his own game, end of story!!

I'm not someone who cries fix either, in fact, I had no investment in this fight, but my god was this fight ever fixed. First, the shot that knocked Slva down wasn't even all that hard. He clearly wanted Weidman to best him. When he had opportunities to strike, he simply passed and backed off. This was the fishiest thing I've ever seen. Watch the fight and it's pretty simple to see Silva had no interest in the fight, or winning it for that matter. He didn't look focused, didn't look interested, and just didn't look like he gave a sh*t at all.

imo, the skillset disparity after the first round probably had silva a -300 or more going into the second round on live betting.

I gave Weidman a pass on the maia fight because he took it on short notice but hes very slow.

I cant wait to bet on silva in the rematch.

If it isn't a fix then it's simply because silva got bored. Weidman showed nothing to win that fight..he hit silva early and he smiled because it didn't phase him.

Realistically if silva didn't do that stuff, weidman had 0 chance and would have been done in the first round

-to anyone who bet weidman, please don't gamble, u won because silva gave it to him...and no way in hell u capped it based on that. you thought he could take him down and ground and pound

Ya that's it! Silva simply got bored 6 minutes into a 25 minute Championship fight and just gave the fight away to the #1 contender All American Wrestler (9-0) with size and legit skill-set who had 0 chance of winning  Silva knew there was no way he could move forward and win the fight, period.  While Silva is faster and has a better skills standing - moving forward, he would've been countered by Weidman's high level wrestling which puts Silva on his back in guard for remainder of the fight. That's why you witness another circus show but this time the ring leader got trampled.


Please refrain from providing gambling advice to people who bet against a 37 year old fighter who has a habit of fighting with his hands down.

it doesnt have to be a hard punch to KO someone, Silva was moving away and his body motion was carrying him one way and the punch snapped his head the opposite direction and that triggers a nerve in your neck that shuts your lights off..  

u sound like an idiot saying it was a half as* hook, it was crisp and on the money and with the momentum of his body weigh going one way and the punch snapping his neck the other way that was all that was needed, u see it all the time when guys are running in and all that momentum going forward and someone touches their chin and they go to sleep.        

look at the pictures and you'll see silva's head is all the way turned to one side triggering that nerve that says "Nighty-Night"

first off, I had no play on this fight primarily due to the fact that there were many fighters that believed that chris was going to win(most notably gsp and cormier).

you seriously thought weidman was going to win that fight after watching the first round?

imo, im sure that all the guys here that understand the fight game that bet on Weidman pretty much know they got a gift Saturday night.

I would actually like to see a show of hands of the people whom believed that thought chris was anything but a -300 in live betting after the first round.

he could've been -350.

if Weidman cant take vito down he has little chance of beating him.

his stand-up is horrible.

fight was a crock of shyt.  if fight wasn't a tank job that silva better stop because he has a glass jaw.  i watched the sequence over and over and the left hook did not even catch him good.  then , while on the ground just about every punch missed from 6 inches away. i don't like the guy because of his antics in ring, but dare i say that fixing is a midst us in the mma.

Very much looked to me that Silva thought after 1st round he would win easy because he could tell Weidman was too slow. I think Silva didn't think he could hit him, let alone hurt him.  But nonetheless looked real shaky to me.

Yes, Silva disgraced himself, his team, his country, the entire sport of mixed martial arts and risked everything for 2 million dollars.  Seriously?  You know how much money he pulls?  Even with multiple 1 million dollar bets he wouldn't do it.  

And if someone were going to throw the fight clepto, I think they would have tapped to the f*cking knee bar and not gotten brutally knocked out.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board confirmed that this report is not true and they aren't investigating anything regarding the fight.

  wow, your a fkin tool bro..  the hook landed clean and please read slowly here....  Silva's body was moving towards his Right when he was dodging, Weidman threw a left hook which connected sending his chin opposite way of his body motion triggering the nerve in your neck that shuts your fkin lights out and his eyes even rolled in his head a bit...   i'll post a video, watch at the 7 second mark

he then ran over and landed a clean punch to silva's mouth area bt silva was already out bro.. are u that retarded that u cant see his eyes roll in his head..  the 1st punch when silva was on the ground landed flush and bounced his head off the mat and then the following 4-5 didnt land cleanly..His Body was LIMP.. LIMP !!
