you saying Rory has low fight IQ? LOL he beat Woodley and Saffendine and Maia recently and would have beat Robbie if the dude wasnt the toughest fighter on the roster.

Everyone only remembers a fighter's most recent fight. Thompson beat a Hendricks because Hendricks has a low fight iq. Hendricks is the top wrestler in WW division, but he's too in love with his left hand. I would think after getting ragged a couple times, you would adjust. Hendricks kept coming forward towards Thompson hoping yo keep trading. Thompson is elusive, have ortho strike angles and most importantly, Reach over Hendricks.
Rory can adjust. Rory is very verse. Rory has been fighting top competition since he was 20yo. Most importantly, Rory has trained with Thompson at one point. So Thompson's striking won't be new to Rory.
Yes, Thompson appears to be the better striker, but that is kickboxing, karate striking. Ppl forget there is close up dirty boxing, which is another aspect of striking. I can see Rory getting close, using the case and win by a decision.
