As always, just thoughts and leans...main plays come on fight night. Not feeling this card as much as last weeks, i'll keep them short.
Dalby vs. Silva - ooofff, rough opener. Both guys are pretty old, inactive and are far apart in styles. Dalby is pretty much a brawler, Silva is jiu-jitsu specialist who is pretty much sub or bust...but he's also never been finished. No Lean - don't even see a prop i like
Bohm vs. Leonardo - Bohm is a talented striker who was in for a rude awakening in her UFC debut, it looked like she thought she was going to stroll in and dominante Lipski, but got bullied. Leonardo, i truly believe was set up to lose back in her contender series fight, but got the win when her opponent gassed from beating Leonardo up. Dana White immediately fed her to Manon Fiorot for payback. Bohm should win this fight, but i can't see it being very pretty no matter how it goes down. Lean - Bohm ML - Leonardo has her toughness as the only thing going for her, Bohm should be able to do enough in the striking to seperate herself....this isn't a strong lean at all. High chance it goes the distance.
Herbert vs. Nelson - Finally things get interesting. It's like -300 for this fight NOT TO GO DISTANCE....Herbert has a glass jaw and weak gas tank, Nelson hasn't fought in almost 2 years and fights like he left the gas on. I get that Nelson is at a disadvantage with reach, height and moving up a weight class, BUT Herbert's last opponent had all of those same dis-advantages PLUS he was fighting Herbert on short notice and Herbert still got slept. For someone with a glass jaw, Herbert is way too hittable and he has no other tools aside from the stand-up. Lean - Kyle Nelson - i just think there is too value on Nelson, and you would have to be nuts to lay -300 on Herbert. He's lost 3 of his last 4 and was finished in all 3 of his losses and even his win was against fellow 'Glass Jaw' award winner Khama Worthy. Very possible Herbert gets hurt on the feet and Nelson chokes him out.....i'll likely play Nelson ML and by finish
more tommorow folks!
