The Yankees need to play .800 baseball and have the red sox go about .500 or less the rest of the way..The Red Sox have home series vs the Marlins, Orioles, Blue Jays and Mets, and a 4 game series vs White Sox..bottom line is the sox will at least half their remaining games

They wont, Boston still has a good lead, an easier schedule and there are still 6 games to be played between the teams, with 3 of them being the final 3 of the season, in Boston. Besides that, Yankees have an upcoming west coast trip to Seattle and Oakland, which will test them, maybe they get Sanchez back til then, Didi for sure, but Judge wont be ready.

It's still Boston's division to lose and imo they wont.

Chris Sale is fresh as can be, just waiting for the green light to get back into the rotation.

If the Yanks do make a run at it though, it would make for some great baseball.

I don't think they miss Gary Sanchez one bit imo. He is a horrible defensive catcher.
