Brewers ML(+135) *1/1.35
Burnes/Darvish listed
Corbin Burnes is nasty. Unfortunately he pitched through a bad shoulder in 2019 where all his #'s reflected that. He looked great in 10 innings of work this spring training. In summer camp, his teammates described him as "simply unhittable". Now that he's healthy, why couldn't he fall back to his 2018 form where he went 7-0 with a 2.61 era?
Darvish is 33 years old, and imo the guy still hasn't learned how to "pitch". His stuff is electric when he's on. He has the best K/9 rate in all of baseball history(fathom that). But in my eyes the guy is just a thrower. When guys get on base he losses it. He has too many pitches in his arsenal for my liking, so when he throws from the stretch things get shakey.
Darvish could have a good outing here. But for the current odds, I think Burnes can bridge it to the Brewers pen and give em a solid shot to win the ball game. Hendricks last night kept the Cubs biggest weakness on the bench for 9 innings. Darvish can go about 6 innings, and that's if things are going well.

JEG: I am glad your daughters found gainful employment and are no longer dependents, but being outnumbered 3-1 in your own home is intolerable. You need to put your foot down and demand a MAN-CAVE. Either add a room or convert one, but you must have a special place to yourself. Big screen TV, small refrigerator and hot-plate, recliner and a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. You should also line the interior walls with cork, or some sound deadening material to keep all the female chatter from infecting your brain. Tell them they may knock (lightly) when your meals are ready. This is the only known way to preserve your sanity.

CWS ML(+105) *1/1.05
Dobnak/Keuchel scheduled
The Twins were stumped vs Jon Lester in exhibition on Wednesday, a southpaw, finesse, ground baller. Sounds like Keuchel. Yesterday I backed Giolito despite knowing that he is a high fastball pop em out pitcher. The Twins love the ball up and were sitting on that pitch right out the gate. The home plate ump yesterday didn't do either pitcher any favors by not calling low strikes. Let me know the next time Berrios and Giolito give up 12 earned runs combined on the same day.
Today's ump Pat Hoberg has a bigger zone, with a 21.1% K percentage and averaging .252 BA. Keuchel will be nibbling at the corners and changing speeds.
Dobnak is an average pitcher, not good during the day and horrible vs right handed batters. The Sox are using 6 today.
Good Luck

Smallmouth have more fight than largies, great fight
Anyone watching the Cubs game? Corbin Burnes got a nose bleed on the mound in the first inning...
A couple of the Brewers batters struck out on some terrible pitches from Yu Darvish. This offense is rough.
Good thing the Cubs defense doesn't know how to do a proper run down

Yea, that blunder cost them a run, but didn't affect anyone's quadraXFip-war+fielding squared

The way all these hitters are swinging at the first 2 pitches and falling behind in the count, you are looking good Barney. GL

Well, Sac, I see nothing’s changed with these bullpens, including the Reds. The starter leaves after 6 innings and the bullpen has already given up at least five runs.

That's how she goes LC. Stephenson and Lorenzen are usually good. If Iglesias doesn't show something soon, they have to make a change at closer. I think Amir Garrett could close.
It's still early, but only 58 games left. That puts pressure on every one.
