I won't put Means in the same class as Corbin, but he is the only lefty starter the Yanks have faced and they sure didn't scare him. O runs, 2 hits and 8 K's over 6.333 innings. They won the game in the 8th and 9th versus the bullpen. Antacids may not be necessary. Just sayin.............

In Medellin they just don't advertise the killings. it is not exactly the media capital of the world. Besides, folks had other reasons to think you were insane!

Not to mention some people think I'm paranoid.
But seriously Colombian news outlets want to sell TV advertisements and newspapers and killings sell. No one's hiding anything.
Medellin per capita has less violent crime than about 5 US cities and is not even in the top 100 in the world.
A lot of Colombian murders back in the old days were attributed to the drug cartels and also due to the armed conflict - both of which have really settled down the past 10-15 years.
Average people on the street were never as likely to get randomly killed ('I'm going to rob and maybe kill my victim if he acts up') or on purpose ('guy double crossed me on an extortion payment') or by stray bullet (wrong place at the wrong time) as much as one would think based on past reputation.
The chance of getting randomly killed in the US in a church, mosque, school, movie theater, concert, going to work in the World Trade Center etc... is exponentially higher than anywhere in Colombia.
Now you really want to get killed...
The pen is mightier than the pigs

If you have Bovada, the juice on the over went to +105...either the squares playing there are hitting the under on a pitcher that they never heard of, or some sharp players like the under. I won't lie, a little nervous.

JEG: I must not have received the memo that said we were all sticking to the "Hot Stove" thread this year. Frankly I think that would be confusing and eventually be tough to navigate.

Thanks Jay, 5-2 +1.73 yesterday. Passed out kinda early, and kinda drunk. I saw the box score for the Angels...LAA fans better hope Maddon didn't bring over his bullpen mojo to the west coast.
So, what's new?

Why clutter the forum with more threads? And eventually people will stop clicking on a thread that's 1 thousand pages long, but only the good ole boys will still stop in.
