Nice big weekend of baseball...hopefully, we can find some "hidden gems" to bet on. These are the games that I find interesting for TGIF:
LAA/NYY: The game is a pick 'em....so, I'm gonna "pick 'em"...You have 2 SP's who have been a little inconsistent lately; but one of them has been inconsistent his entire career. You have 2 offenses that have been labled as very good; but one has been really good lately. As it went yesterday when I questioned the juice on NYY, I'm gonna question it again. The Yankees added Pudge and the Angels added Texeira...which one improves the offense even more? Gotta take the team who is playing the best baseball in the majors right now....LAA
BAL/SEA: SEA is favored at home over BAL and I'm gonna agree with Vegas and take Washburn to hold BAL while Olsen gives SEA a chance to score a few runs. Both teams have been putting up some runs in their last few series; but I think that Washburn is a significant advantage and worth the bet. My concern is that BAL had a day to rest/travel while SEA played in Texas yesterday...If someone wants to talk me out of this one...please go ahead. 
SF/SD: The only time that we can play a really bad team is when they are playing against a really bad team...this is one of those cases. Plus we don't have to pay that much juice in comparison to the pitching advantage because we are taking the visitors again.
LIncecum has had a couple of rough outings recently...It can come from a pitcher thinking that he has to throw a no-hitter to keep his team in the game; OR, he can be getting tired. Last game...13 K's, 0 walks....So, I'm gonna take the former explanation instead of the latter and back Tim in this one.
ARI/LAD: The "next Sandy Koufax" (Kershaw) had a decent game last outing...however it was against WAS at home. Before that, and so far, he is still learning. I'm gonna go with The Big Unit to be really pumped for this one and take that arm of his for 5 innings....RJ vs ManRam should be fun to watch....the first couple of times through the lineup, I'll go with RJ. Also think that ARI should get a couple of runs early if they just hit the ball to left field.
That's it for today....there are a number of games that have sensational matchups where I could make a case for both teams.
Let's discuss as many as possible and see if there are any other plays for today......
