Parrish is 10-1 with a 2.74 era in AAA
Hudson 10-2 with 2.61 ERA vs Toronto in his career
I still have not figured out why this total is at 9....Somebody is telling me the over is the play, maybe not so much first 5 but game

JGROMACK: bergen/essex counties, hudson is good for portuguese food The city is a whole different story
Except for Newark (hey, now that has some delicious Portuguese dishes, self-propelled and otherwise) and abit of Montclair don't know Essex. But WNY and Union City, on Bergenline, had great PR and Cuban food. Could not go wrong. The City is the City; if they could only do a decent job of garbage collection . Good Luck

Dukes.....Parrish is nothing special; but has been a reliever his entire career.....now is a starter and his first game for the big club this year....I always avoid playing early in the year and always avoid playing a game where the SP is, basically, an unknown. While he is not a rookie, you..very often...see this kind of pitcher go through the lineup a couple of times throwing zeroes before they get to him.....ATL should win; but might not until the 6th inning.....
noaccount: What don't you like about Padilla for TEX?....Vegas lowered the total in this game 1 1/2 runs from yesterday...they like both SP's and so do I...meaning, I avoid this kind of game...
I wouldn't bet the NY game with your money....too many ifs....That game is strictly for the "I have to make a bet to watch the game" kind of bettors....and, yes, if I was watching the game, I'd bet the game also.....but I would not, for one second, try to cap this game.....OAK/SF: 2 excellent young SP's, a game to watch, not bet......I would never bet a game where Vegas sends out the total at 7........

Hey gang, I am looking at the UNDER 5 -125 for 1st 5 Innings in the Atlanta Braves/Toronto Blue Jays match up. If you are not a fan of SP getting called up from Triple-A and getting their shot then this is a game you want to stay away from. Yeah, I know Parrish is 30 yrs old and this is not his first time to be called up but he is really pitching well in Triple-A this season and should be pumped to have the chance to get back up in the BIGs.
Hudson, even though he has struggled with Interleague Games in his career, he looks as though he has turned the corner. In his last two starts in Interleague he has only had one bad inning. He should have his confidence way up.
Thoughts?
The under full game looks good too.

I think the total is so high because of the un-known factor of Parrish. He could choke and then we will have a problem on our hands. If that happens then he will be pulled and we have to rely on the bullpen.

You and Papi need to discuss that O/U play and come up with a decision so that we can tail both of you......
I really dont know what to say about it....The obvious plays are ATL and Under....Toronto cant score and Hudson has been good this year....Line was set at 9 and money is POURING in on the under...With Chipper and Escobar out the Under 9 should have no problem hitting right ?? Something tells me Toronto and Over

I like Atl to start the day. Take out Hudson's hiccup two starts ago and his last three starts look like this:
15 IP/10 hits/4 walks/1 HBP/8 SO/1 ER
.60 ERA/1.00 WHIP/.44 SOIP
He has consistently gone two quality starts between not so good starts. If he has a good start today, I might fade him his next start.
He has a 2.78/3.05 ERA Day/Night, a 2.24/3.74 Home/Away ERA and a .229/.261 Home/Away BAA.
Day BA:
Atl: .290
Tor: 260
Innings 1-6:
Atl: .281
Tor .263
I like the way you think. SP tend to pitch in patterns, If he is on today then he should be off next out. The only think that could mess that up he wont be pitching Inter but against the NL.

If you got 5 on the first 5 innings you have a great line....Maybe the first 5 innings goes under as the only guy to face Parrish playing today is Gotay and he just has one plate appearance...Parrish could shut the Braves down the first 5 and then be lifted for the Blow Jays bullpen....Seems like a bunch of unknowns that we should just lay off....I may make a degenerate small play on the game though

These are great games to try and cap and discuss.....so many
"what ifs"........TOR can't hit, ATL on the road, Hudson vs an unknown quantity, lineup changes for ATL, public money says that the TOR SP will keep them in the game, love this stuff....

Ok...
So we have the obvious and the contrarian......
Vegas was built with those guys in mind

MROPC: What don't you like about Padilla for TEX?....Vegas lowered the total in this game 1 1/2 runs from yesterday...they like both SP's and so do I...meaning, I avoid this kind of game...
I like Padilla and Hamels numbers are better. Their records are = (2-1-0 O/U 1-2) but Hamels cont. to improve his WHIP and ERA (0.86 2.86) while Padilla's 3.79 ERA has gone up a tad, but his WHIP had a Wall Street drop from 1.37 to 1.11 during his last three. So "avoid" may be the route to go on this one and I appreciate your words
I'm blinded by Juiced Pettitte's 0.86 WHIP and 0.43 ERA and at the same time agree with what you wrote about that crazy situation which is why I've broken a Golden Gamming Rule: AVOID ALL CITY GAMES, except when anyone plays St. Pete's in roundball. If Pettitte reduces my tin weight, then I'll shake head side-to-side, look up into the heavens and scream something like: why didn't I follow MROPC's good advice!
OAK & SF? That's off my boad; I'll be finished after the Bos game. Thanks for your words and good luck.
PS: Jersey Chinese food: Shanghai Palace, Cliffside.

5Dimes has Under 5 -125 or Under 4½ +100
I like ATL full game and Under full game. I am less confident about the 1st 5 but there should be no problem hitting the Under 5 in the 1st 5 if you can get it.

I would stay away from Texas vs Lefties.....And Hamels is a real good lefty...Texas sucks vs lefties and the Phillies suck right now

I would be more confident about the Under in the first 5 than the Under for the game.....Some reason I think this game is going over

You may be right but with ATL having the lack of fire power, I think they will do good to come up with enough runs to win. Should be a lot of small ball played today by ATL.

They still have Tex, Kelly Johnson, Mccann, and Frenchy
Also have the best Interleague batting avg guy ever in Gotay playing for Chipper....Atlanta can still score runs
