I've been in a little mini slump for the last couple of days; so, rather than do writeups/analysis, I'm just gonna list the four teams that I feel confident about and hope that others will join and provide their input....pro and con...on these games (and the others).
These are the teams today that I like......
TB
COL
BOS
CWS
So, any help/thoughts on these would be greatly appreciated...you can talk me into or out of these games...and anything that you would like to contribute to the others is also appreciated.
Hopefully, Norse is still awake down under.....

I am loving the Cubs on a -1/2 RL, 5Dimes hasn't posted the line yet, but I got to think the bats will get a spark of energy as they try to support their new team mate Harden.

Rocks are horrible on the road with Jimenez. Definite no play there for me. Jimenez is like 1-8 on the road thisyear and the Mets are starting to look alive again. Lean to Mets here.

Hey MrOPC,hope your well mate.Havent posted in your thread for sometime but I really like one 5 innings tonight.
Maddux V Morton.
Ive watched this rookie Mortons last 2 starts, hes a car crash waiting to happen,I really cannot account for his 2 decent road starts having seen hs last 2 outings.,hes poor.
Maddux has a been stellar at home this term.I cant see him giving more than 2 up to these brave bats,I just hope the pads bats keep their part of the bargain.

I really like Danks today... but the CWS line has moved down from -110 to -103, with 3/4 of the wagers on the sox. Theres gotta be some "smart" money(on Tex) creating this type of movement.
If the books are telling us that Tex makes a game of it, then Millwood would have to pitch well. Maybe a 3-2 / 4-3 kindof game. I havent seen the 5 inn line yet... but the under, and the under 10 for the game seems solid.
I hate betting on a team on a losing streak... but Garza vs Ginter, in tampa that line would be -175 for the game and I got it at -133 (again no 5 inn line yet)
Im on the fence w/ the RSox (too much juice... O's always play hard vs Sox)) and CRox (Mets playin with more confidence... makes em dangerous)
G'Luck MrO... and everybody. Lets bust some books today!!!!

As to TEX, there is a curious stat...look at Millwood's pitchcount for his last 3 games, as compared to previous games....very low...I don't know what that means; but it's a red flag to me....maybe it matters more for a fullgame bet, but Danks has been pitching too well to ignore....He's a lefty who grew up playing ball in Austin, has an OBP of .290.....if the Sox can hit for him, he is gonna be a winner for a long time.....
As for CLE: Matt Ginter???? 30-years old, hasn't pitched since 2005 and, even then, was in the bullpen. Do you mean to tell me that CLE has no one in Double AA that they can bring up for a "cup of coffee" to show him the Big Show????? Maybe Ginter will pitch well and maybe he won't...but this is a sorry move. I would be interested to see how many fannys they put into the seats today....
PEDRO....If his name wasn't Pedro Martinez, would you really want to bet on him?....Even with a few games to get into the flow, he has gotten worse, not better...especially giving up dingers at a faster rate than ever....GOlfer mentioned Jimenez on the road...I don't see anything wrong with his last start...and his recent numbers (home and away) have shown solid control form....We know that COL can hit (just ask FLA)....Pedro should give them that opportunity....
Wakefield.....In a recent article I read it was mentioned that the knuckleball works better in the warm weather and humidity of summer as compared to Spring and Fall....recent outings by Wakefield seem to confirm that theory.....and, since, Pingmeister did not take BAL again for his "Dog of the Day" play....gotta think that the Sox will take care of Liz today
Still have a little time if anyone out there can change my mind on these.....

Thx guys....

Not sure how that Col/Mets game goes, but i do know they get to Pedro. Just can't back Jimenez even though he has showed some serious improvement lately.
Great Threads as always OPC

One play today, either Jimenex > PM or Min > Det. Baker's (1-0-2) numbers are going down (WHIP 1.16, ERA 2.84), Robertson's (0-1-2) up (WHIP 1.66, ERA 3.26). MIN hits Lefties @ .317 while Det hits Righties @ 260 these past 10 games.
'The only comment I can add to the COL/MET game that hasn't been said is: BOS let PM (7.31 ERA) go at the right time, he's pitching in his twilight. May have talked myself into playing COL. Anyone leaning towards MIN

Understand UK.....I know that Jessie is not Doc; but Darrell ain't JOba either.......TOR has solid home record and I would rather go with the home team to win a second game than the visiting team to come back and beat them....I see nothing in Rasner to give me confidence that he can hold TOR from scoring.....especially if I am getting them as a dog....
PIng....that looks like a young lady that your ex-Gov and our ex-Pres would like to "smoke a cigar" with.....

Noaccountgut mentioned Min... and I'm curious why no one in the threads has mentioned/picked Twins. Theyve won 6 of 8 vs Det, and Baker has been pitching well (understatement, he's been a stud on the mound)
Any thoughts?

lone, no, et al.....I don't know why (MIN)?? It looks good, MIN has certainly been hitting....Baker is throwing quality starts with every start....Robertson somewhat inconsistent...and MIN is a dog cause they're the visitor....makes sense to me....
