Its pretty simple but you will not choose a side because you want to diminish Markakis and what he done in a subpar line up with ZERO protection.
He leads the league in intentional walks... Wanna know why becuae he gets pitched around constantly because of ZERO protection.
He has been pitched around consistently for the past 2 years because there is no one to protect him and he is the most dangerous hitter in the lineup.
If you are so incredible bias to believe he would not produce better numbers in the Yankees, Red Sox, Angels, Rays, or any of hte top lineups then you are an imbecile.

A player will only produce in line wiht his rookie stats or he will not?
If you say he will get better than there is absolutely no reason why taking an average of Markakis' stats over the past 3 years, after his rookie season, would be a problem.
So you either believe rookie stats are a starting point for evaluating and ap layer will progress or you believe rookie stats are what they will produce year in and year out.
THEY COUNT FOR YOUR CAREER STATS YOU PSYCHO>>>>> CAREER AVERAGE... I NEVER SAID A WORD ABOUT PROGRESSION .... WHEN HIS ROOKIE STATS ARE BETTER THAN THIS YEARS STATS THAN WHAT? WHAT EXCUSE NEXT>>> YOUR OUT OF YOUR MIND

That unnamed player has average 24 HR and 89 RBI during their years (not counting their first 2 full seasons as they were still growing into the player they became and still are)
That's average.
However...note that I support Markakis. Not this season...but I know what he's capable of. He's a All-Star player (the reason I drafted him in fantasy baseball).

Well I guess only time will tell on how that turns out. But the fact that Adam Jones doesn't steal bases is incredible because of his speed. I, personally, can't find a player to compare his speed with who doesn't steal bases.

Great start by Jake. I have always like Matusz better but I always like Jake better than Tillman. Love his bulldog mentality and his power stuff.
Also looks like the Orioles finally found their closer in Hernandez. I kept telling people I didnt think he had the secondary stuff to be a successful starter but could be a terrific bullpen arm.
Hit 99 on the gun twice tonight.
All and in all it was a great game to watch for hte Orioles. The young talent won the game. Jake pitched a gem, Jones had a good game along with Kakes and Hernandez closed it out.

OHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYY GODDDDDDDDDDDDD.... Another excuse.... Please don't make me go get 10 players who have better numbers than Markakis that hit without "protection"
Fuck off bro
Heres some stats that back up my position and shows you have absolutely ZERO knowledge about the Orioles, as a team, and Markakis as a player.
Nick has been on base 110 times this year. Take away his 3 HR, and
he's scored only 19.6% of the time he has been on base. By comparison,
these are his other seasons (taking HR out of the equation):
2007: 74 runs in 234 times on base (31.6%)
2008: 86 runs in 263 times on base (32.7%)
2009: 76 runs in 229 times on base (33.2%)
I'll even post his rookie numbers since youa re so hell bent on a player's rookie season having so much say in their future lines.
2006: 56 runs in 173 times on base (32.3%)
That is awfully consistent. So far this year, Nick has been on 1st or
2nd 106 times and the hitters behind him have gotten a single or a
double while he was on base only 18 times all season. That is just
terrible.
Long and short of it, Nick has guys with a poor OBP in front of him
(.299 OBP for the leadoff hitters and .306 OBP for the guys batting 2nd
other than Nick). The guys hitting behind him haven't been a threat
(.505 OPS for the guys batting 3rd other than Nick, .646 for the cleanup
hitter, .707 for the 5th hitter). So it really is no wonder that
Nick's RBI and runs scored totals are so paltry, even though his overall
numbers and RISP numbers are solid enough. A few more HRs from him
would help, but that isn't really the big problem here.

Adrian Gonzalez Ryan Zimmerman Miguel Cabrera Hanley Ramirez
Just a few players off the top of my head that don't seem to have a problem with "protection"...
As far as the statement I highlighted in BOLD... I do know about the Orioles, I know that they fucking suck, and are not even worth debates... and I never said Markakis was a bad player, I said he was having a shit year as a number 3 hitter (and you just make excuse after excuse for him... WHICH YOU CAN DO FOR ANY HITTER) you said he was a 100 25 100 guy.... WHICH HE IS NOT... I gave you concrete stats on his career average... averages less than 90 runs and RBI for his career as a number 3 hitter.. He is a good player but who gives a fuck? Adam Jone's is crap, Weiters is crap, Matusz, Tillman, etc... You will be arguing and defending the Orioles for the next 10 years... they are an embarrassment... You aggravate me beyond belief, and I have NEVER in my life seen so many excuses for a bad "company" or "organization" You and The Orioles can make all the excuses you want... You blame the Yankees, the YES network, etc . etc ... I hope the Orioles finish in last place every year for the rest of my life solely so you can sit and sulk for the rest of yours... You say ohhhhh" the Orioles are building within bla bla fucking bla... Jeter, Posada, Pettitte, Hughes, Cano, Cervelli, Gardner, etc...PERO... Have some pride and integrity rather than box excuses...
The Nationals have officially taken over DC...

Have you even looked at their AAA roster, there is NOTHING to look forward to for the Orioles...
