That's the problem I have. Because the O's NEED an All-Star...Jones will have 2 All-Star Games in his resume when he really doesn't deserve this one. 1 month has been outstanding but he'll only be on it because the rest of his team has been garbage. Wiggington has been the most consistant all season. If only it were possible that a team didn't need to have an All-Star.

Wiggington hasn't been consistent......he hit is first home run since May 22nd when he was hitting .300, now he is 262.....he has cooled considerably. Yeah, no Oriole deserves to be on the all star team but if you're a manager which oriole would you take right now? probably the guy who is the hottest hitter, which is jones and his monster month of June....
5 of 6 for the birds

Right NOW...obviously Jones. But also...Right NOW, I wouldn't take Phil Hughes either.

Nope. I remember back in the 80's when Lee Lacy was leading off, followed by Fred Lynn, Cal Ripken, Murray, Sheets, O'Malley, Jim Traber, Rick Dempsey.....etc. John Miller was calling the games on WBAL. The only thing - THAT WAS 25 YEARS AGO. GET OVER IT.
You, like the rest of the Baltimorons should look about 40 miles South to an up and coming ball club. Besides, Oriole fans are soooo very FAIR WEATHER!!

Sparkster's what happened to your write-ups the past couple of days haven't seen u post any since monday...
Family came to town unexpected so I've had to entertain.
My problem is that I don't want to half-ass them so if I don't have a few hours to spare...I can't do them. And I like to wait until a game is done with to do the writeup because I like to incorporate what happened in that game to the writeups. So it's a whole big thing. They're on their way out tomorrow so I'll have a few days free but then I get a new assortment coming in. It's been rough around here. I always try to by sometimes I don't have the time. And with that said...it's time for me to hit the hay.

He doesn't reside in Baltimore but that "Baltimorons" thing is very humorous.

Are you kidding? Injuries? Wait to see what happens at the trade deadline. Teams are going to come by and scoop up any 'injured' talent they may have. Then you will see them make a run at the MOST LOSSES record.

Red Sox?
Ellsbury, VMart, Pedroia and Beckett are all out right now. That's 4 all-stars right there. And please don't give me that "salary" crap because those are some of the best on that roster. The difference is...they've had guys step up like Nava and McDonald come up and do damage. Also add that Dice-K, Cameron and Hermida have been injured too. And they've only stepped up the more others have gotten injured. This is their newest problem with VMart and Pedroia but they're 3-2 since Pedroia went down and that's still a winning record.

jpero is so into his "evaluation" of players that he mentions him. Pie had such a bright future ahead of him and he can't let go of the fact that he will never be what he once was. Yet he brings up the fact that he was batting .400 before he got injured...in 20 at bats. What happened with Felix Pie is the same thing that can happen with Matt Wieters or Brian Matusz. I'm not saying it will...but it could.

He will never live up to his hype is what it should read.
