On the flipside, Toronto probably put the asking price of Stroman much higher in the division and no one bit.

The haul the Mets will receive from sending out the players they do this week will probably be higher than the price they paid to get Stroman.

you give me degrom,syndagaard,stroman,wheeler on a good say and Vargas? im liking that rotation, with these young bats in the lineup and Cano as the VEt who crushes, i can see some magic happen out there in Queens come late august into sept. ya wont get that magic with Matz hahaha

Greinke, Bumgarner, Bauer, Robbie Ray even Mike Minor and others alll rumored to being shopped around but the yanks were dying to get Stroman, even Syndagaard is a possibility but i jus dont see that happening but you never know. Baseball is awesome like tht.

and i just looked mets are like 6-7 games out of the WC thats nothing with two months left to play plus they Stroman will be solid for

How doesn’t it make sense? 

The mets got a steal on him, now they have the option to dish him for something good as a lot of teams are interested in him. If wheeler and Noah get traded even if they include Strowman and trade all 3. Mets are playing good baseball right now minus their 8th inning and 9th inning closers. 3 big series coming up be ready for the Mets to be on a 15-5 run possibly better. 

Maybe the Blue Jays are the delusional ones. The Jays get Anthony Kay and Simeon Woods Richardson for a their best starting pitcher and also throw in $1.5 million to help with Stroman's salary. Unless Kay or Richardson turn out to be All-Stars, the Mets got a great deal.

Stroman is under contract next year so if they aren't contending next year they can still trade him.

This isn't about this year onlo.

And a 5-6 game win streak puts them on the WC race like the Giants.
