I just bet :

Astros -160

Simple. Juice a little high but not bad to get the best pitcher in the world !

I expect Cole to go 7 IP with 1 ER or 2 ER and about 11 SO.

The rest depends on other players as to final result.

I will take my chances with the man about to become the highest-paid pitcher in baseball history.

This will also motivate him even more !

Ok so COLE isn’t the Best Pitcher in the world ! Second, -160? You got ripped off and will get raped at that price. And we should all listen to you Bc you expect cole to go 7 innings. Covers is the best form of entertainment in the world

Today is officially Astros Home Run Derby Day at Yankees stadium.

So nice of the Yankees to rent out their stadium to us today for batting practice.....

Altuve is winning our Astros Home Run Derby at Yankee Stadium today......

Altuve 420 feet

Reddick 410 feet

Can Springer or Bregman or Alvarez beat Altuve or Reddick today, in Astros Home Run Derby Day at Yankee Stadium ?

LeMahieu and Judge are tough cookies...IMO they are the best the Yankees offer today against Cole....as 1-2 in the order they are very tough outs....

I think our hero Cole is up to the task....

With men on first and second, he just got Judge to STRIKEOUT with mostly curves and sliders...wise move, Mr. Cole....

Lemahieu and Judge need to be conquered with more than just fastballs, even 98 MPH fastballs.

So far, our hero, Mr. Cole, has been up to the task....

Through 3 innings, Severino has 68 pitches. I say he's gone after 5 innings.....

Cole has 38 pitches through 2 innings. A little high, but he still should get through 7 IP....

2-0 our Astros....

Cole at 51 pitches through 3 IP...just fine !

One of the many reasons Cole is the best pitcher in the world is his ability to precisely locate 85 MPH curveballs and 90 MPH sliders for called strikes whenever he wants.....

Combine this with 97 MPH to 100 MPH precisely placed fastballs = the best pitcher in the world, our hero today, Mr. Cole !

Is Cole's slider among the all-time great sliders ?

I feel that the best slider in baseball history was Steve Carlton.

If Cole as he ages shows a slider more frequently over time, his slider might be even more in this conversation......

Going to the 5th now....our beloved heroes Astros lead 2-0......

Our hero Mr. Cole at 70 pitches......

He is able to throw 105 to 115 pitches today, as needed.

7 IP for Mr. Cole......

Severino is close to.....

Well, as the years go by, you never know.....

Will he ever develop a Christy Mathewson fadeaway (screwball) ? Probably not !

Will he ever develop a Phil Niekro knuckleball ? Probably not !

But for a Walter Johnson fastball, a Bert Blyleven curveball, and a Steve Carlton slider, he is certainly in the conversation !
