Cain
is coming off a really poor performance and I expect him to rebound
here. In his last 3 starts against the Pirates he has given up 13 hits
and 4 ER's in 22 innings pitched. He has 15K's to 6 BB's in those
starts with his team going 2-1. The current Pirates lineup is batting
.203 off him with .266 OBP and .571 OPS. On the season Cain has a 3.81
FIP and 3.99 xFIP with a 2.67 K/BB ratio and a BABIP of .280. Morton,
on the other hand, has a FIP of 4.79 (almost a full run higher) and xFIP
of 4.56. His .247 BABIP is the 22nd luckiest in the league. What's
really scary about Morton is that his BB/9 ratio of 5.0 is higher than
his K/9 ratio of 4.0. With his E-F of -1.45 (15th to the negative),
regression to the mean is expected. He got rocked his last time out and
I wouldn't be surprised if the Giants put up a few runs on him, since
they're batting .348 with OBP of .400 and OPS of 1.096 off him. Giants
had a day off, and I see them ending their 4-game losing streak against a
team that is 2-6 at home.

Yeah, definitely thought about it but Volstad has been terrible!
just my opinion on the fish...ill admit iam a avid marlins fan, and i def dont bet like a fan when it comes to this (only laid one bet on them so far this season)...but id have to say so far there seems to be quite a bit of value on the marllins...the lineup is producing day in and day out..and i feel that the pitching and bullpen is underrated according to a lot of people...maybe consider taking a run line on JJ soon? he damn near carries a no no into the 5th or 6th inning every time he starts!! or perhaps a 5th inning line if the price is right...cant go wrong with those hot bats and strong young arms!! =)
