The Cubs played the Brewers closer than I expected yesterday and got K Rod to spend around 19 pitches on the 1st hitter he faced in the 9th. K Rod got the job done, but I worry if he's used again tonight. Peralta, the Brewers starter is on a roll but might be looking ahead to his big matchup in the next series against the Dodgers in LA. I smell a rebound or bounce back game for the Cubs here. And the league hasn't figured out Hendricks yet, and I doubt the Brewers will tonight. Hendricks is pitching well, and I look for that to continue. He's a rookie trying to up his value in a big way.
Then I read this which supports my position; "The right-hander is 0-2 with a 6.39 ERA in two starts against Chicago this year. Peralta is 2-4 with a 4.07 ERA in seven overall starts against the Cubs (50-67), the only team to beat him twice in 2014.
All-Stars Starlin Castro and Anthony Rizzo have fared especially well against Peralta. Castro is 10 for 21 with two homers, going 3 for 5 this year, while Rizzo is 8 for 19 with four homers -- 3 for 6 with two longballs in 2014."
So, I will be on the Cubs to win this game.
