Oops, forgot to mention I am on Detroit Pistons 1stQ -2 as well. Like all 3, hope to hit 1st Q, 1st half, and full game with ML.
I also (kinda) like Pelicans today and full game total over vs Lakers. It is a total garbage game though so hard to bet or care about it. I've casually watched the last few Lakers games though, and it is clear most everyone just wants summer vacation to start! Except maybe Kobe Byrant who seems to be enjoying the daily spectacle and fanfare.

One more speculative bet I am doing purely for entertainment value is taking Spurs +3 at Denver.
Spurs resting their entire starting lineup plus Diaw is not playing. But if one looks at the recent history of teams playing without their starters it seems the bench plays *very* hard while other team may be napping. Clippers bench came oh so close to beating OKC straight up on the road. Then, OKC tried to return the favor with their bench playing hard at Portland. Portland had a sizable lead throughout but OKC bench outplayed them 4th quarter and luckily got the back door cover (to my great chagrin let me add).
In both of those cases, the bench was going up against a fairly formidable opposing team in OKC and Portland. This time, Spurs bench gets to go up against a somewhat punchless Denver Nuggets team. Not only that, the Nuggets are also missing a lot of key guys due to injury, plus they are not playing Darrel Arthur at all due to 'rest' and have their top big man (Faried) coming off the bench. Nuggets do not care about winning this or the rest of their games. They are playing for lottery seeding and still have a chance at being one of the 5 or 6 worst teams record wise. Time to tank.

First off I'd like to apologize for anyone who tailed me on the bulls against the bucks earlier this week, as a Chicagoan, I should have known better than to bet the bulls when they need a win badly.
Pelicans just came off back-to-back games and have back-to-back games to go with 5 games in 7 days total, they've resting Tim Frazier, the only bright spot on the team recently, and in the pre-game quotes, the coach admitted the team is star struck by Kobe and tired and short handed. This is also the easiest of the 4 games left on Kobe's fair well tour so expect Mamba to put up a lot of shots. My personal favorite play on this game is a parlay with the moneyline and the over, but I'll post the spread because it's safer and falls in $$$$ picks standards. Hoping Kobe will get me back in the win column. BOL everyone, fade or follow.

Both pitchers have a large era and houstons pitching has been horrible. However Houston is the better team and they're coming off of two losses in a row.

I have to roll with the champs here at home. Royals went 12-7 last year vs the Twins. Ventura will be on the hill toinight who is only 2-3 overall vs the twins. Twins just haven't got everything in sync yet, and I don't see it happening tonight in KC.

Bubba I be see people talking about you should start all over with keeping track of plays is at Absolutely not ! This is a $$$$ thread not a baseball threat. Your $$$$ plays are what they are regardless if it's baseball, basketball,Golf etc... just because it's baseball season doesn't me we should start over. My record is 6-6 50% I'd Not like it but I wear ot. If my picks was all money line I'll be 10-2 but it ain't I'm 6-6 and planning getting better...
Amen brother, it was indeed in the college bball section that doesn't mean the only picks made were from college hoops.

After see all the key players out for the Clippers makes me say
$$$$ Clippers +13 $$$$$
How many time have people fell for the injury concept thinking because the starts are out that it's a automatic win forthwith their team? I say don't fall for it the Clippers will cover the 13. There are players trying to stay not he league and this.is their time.to show what they got and it's hard to prepare for a team that you have very little insight on. Doc rivers is also one he'll of a coach I say he puts his team in potion to covert his spread
Not to dissuade you from your bet as Clippers bench did indeed play exceedingly well @ OKC a week or so ago. But there are a few differences between that game and this one.
A. Austin Rivers is *not* playing tonight. He shot out of his mind against OKC and just had a career night. Also, Wes Johnson is *not* playing, and he also did rather well against OKC. Those are two key bench guys that played at OKC but are out tonight. Without him, only Clippers guys I think are legit offensive threats are Crawford (I assume he is playing) and Jeff Green and I guess Paul Pierce. Aldrich and Moute can score as well but mostly rely on hustle plays to get theirs.
B. Unlike OKC, Utah still has a LOT to play for. They are the 8 seed and can move up to 7 to avoid Golden St. They are only slightly ahead of Houston Rockets. Utah wants to make playoffs with this young team and get experience in post season. Also, Utah can be a bit of a scary matchup in 1st round and Clippers may not mind seeing Golden St or San Antonio tussle with them in 1st round. Clippers would *love* to see Utah make it and their nemesis Houston Rockets left out.
C. Friday night at Utah, playoffs looming, very likely home crowd will be energized for this game, especially against Clippers. Also, Utah arena high elevation so the fact Clippers are only playing 8 guys (of which 5 are *not* scorers) could have an impact as the game wears on. Tired legs in 2nd half or 4th quarter? Plus Utah emphasizes defensive intensity (unlike OKC) and will for sure be contesting the outside shot and letting Favors and Gobert lock down the paint.
Call me crazy, but I can potentially see Clippers having the opposite result from that OKC game and scoring a season LOW in points tonight. It does not surprise me that Clippers team total is 86 tonight. They may end up scoring < 80.

Yesterday SF brought the Dodgers back down to earth and hammered the pen in the late innings coming back from an early deficit to win 12-6. The Dodgers do not have a good pitching staff except for Kershaw their ace and their bullpen is not very deep. Matt Cain makes the start for the Giants and he hasn't been anywhere near the pitcher he was in 2013 when he signed that massive contract I do believe the Dodgers will score some runs off Cain today. Today's Dodgers starter makes his major league debut and will be amped to start his first game this can be an advantage or disadvantage. The Giants have patient hitters and will capitalize on some early jitters . The game goes over once the Giants get into the Dodgers bullpen and that's where we cap this play.

Hey all just wanted to share my thoughts on the day. I didn't get a chance to watch a lot of baseball but the Padres / Rockies game I watched on the MLB.tv app on my phone. I did this because I think it is really important to watch teams I want to fade in certain spots this season and both these teams met the criteria. Bottom line the Rockies have the worst pitching in the national league hands down. The Padres are still a pretty bad team as any team should put up double digit runs on the Rockies. I wanted to take the Blue Jays today but didn't get home in time to get a wager in. I did put .1U on the Dodgers tonight. Good Luck and catch you all tomorrow.

I guess I will have to shut my big mouth on any future Clippers games. Amazing what they did tonight. I watched most of the game and was equally amazed at the shots the Clippers were hitting as well as dumbfounded by Utah defense and coaching. Clippers only had 3 shooters worth guarding, yet Utah let them shoot a lot of open shots. Prigioni made a few 3s even though he hardly ever shoots. It was really Aldrich that played exceptional.
Cole Aldrich had a career night, just abused Utah in the paint which I thought could not and would not happen! I was disappointed in Gobert, but I was really puzzled why Utah coach did not play him much in 2nd half. He was getting outplayed by Aldrich, but the other Utah big men were *really* getting outplayed by Aldrich. My prop bet really fizzled out when he was sitting on the bench. Sucks.
Utah laid an egg and Clippers had a part in that. In a way I should be happy I guess since I have Clippers prop bet to win it all placed a while back. With Golden St. struggling a touch, Clippers are looking better and better.
