Not sure if this has been mentioned but a nice trend that I have used to my advantage is teams coming off a loss of 14 points or my have a very high covering rate the next week. Haven't back tested but read it towards the end of the last year somewhere and its been huge this year thus far. Figured I'd share, even though I don't have the specific numbers to back it up.

Good luck all. NHL looking like it is getting closer to a deal...lets get them unders.

The concept makes a lot of sense. Many times, as I'm sure all you bright and fine gentlemen are well aware of, the betting public overreacts to a loss and the team that lost the previous week by 2 or more touchdowns are a healthy dog the next week.

Guys a great way to back test some of these trends is


It takes a little while to get the hang of it, but it is a great tool.  There is also a Google Group that you can search for answers when you get stuck on how to check something: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/sportsdatabase

For instance, for the NFL trend I posted earlier: Road Fave off a Bye I checked it here (remember I didn't count the SB): https://sportsdatabase.com/nfl/query?sdql=p%3Aweek%2B2+%3D+week+and+AF+and+season%3E2006&submit=S+D+Q+L+%21

I will try and run some numbers tonight on the trend I threw out there if the kids go down without a battle.

I hav been usingsportsdatabase for a while.  Great tool if you can get the hang of all the different query's.

Damn, that sucks man. Nothing worse in the world than a sick child on numerous levels. Good luck to you as well. Keep fighting that good fight and enjoy that alone time with the wife in the near future.

New to the thread, Ausome info!!...agree sports database good site (www.killersports.com). Used avg pts scored and allowed query last nite to hit SD 1qtr, Den 4th qtr and O/U on 1/2/4th qtrs; lost 3rd qtr O/U; will try to post pix and contribute

I'm on the Yankees at +1 for +118 tonight, only a U. Yes, that makes me a chicken on a few different levels. Lol

Also rolling with Norm and Shady on the Team that scores first loses prop for a half u. 

I like Atlanta and Indiana to go under 193 in the NBA tonight, and I am on Rutgers -4 for 4U for Saturday NCAAFB. That line is up to -5.5 and I still like it at that number. Sorry to the mods for the off-topic paragraph, please leave it in here.
