Got a much needed win yesterday Just finished reading all your comments in that thread. As always, much appreciated
I think we've seen enough of Shota Imanaga to conclude that he's not a fluke. In fact, this dude is unreal and to date, no team in the league can figure him out. Through 9 starts, he's sporting a 5-0 record, 0.84 ERA and 0.91 WHIP. And tonight, he gets to face a team that can't hit lefties. The Brewers rank in the bottom 10 in all of baseball vs left handed pitching. They're team line is: 214 AVG/299 OBP/362 SLG/661 OPS. The icing on the cake is that they've never seen Imanaga, currently the best lefty in the game.
The Cubs offense on the other hand have been scuffling a bit and that's a concern. However, they have experience against tonight's opponent, Bryse Wilson. They've seen him for 60 ABs and are hitting a respectable; 250 AVG/303 OBP/393 SLG/691 OPS. Ian Happ and Nico Hoerner see him particularly well. They're a combined 7 for 19 with 4 walks and just 2 k's. Although, Mike Tauchman, Cody Bellinger, and Michael Busch have only seen him for a combined 6 ABs - they're all left handed hitters that could present a problem for Wilson. I think he'll have a tough time navigating through the lineup tonight. In addition, the Cubs don't need to score 10 runs. With Imanaga going, a handful of runs or even less should be sufficient.
I'm on Chicago at -136 for 15 units. I got that line last night as I expected it to move. However, you can still find it for around -140 at several shops.
Let's see if Kaufee can string a few W's together and get some real momentum going.
Cheers and BOL to everyone
