True. However, think of how improbable it is that a team that avgs over 7 runs a game at home against lefties that had won 14 out of 16 and those two losses were a bit fluky & by one run each gets shutout by a guy with 5.57 ERA (had a 5.26 ERA in 12 games of AAA ball here in Las Vegas!) that tosses career high 121 pitches in record 105 degree heat.
He had given up 17 runs in 19 innings pitched against the Rangers before tonight.
Everyone here in Las Vegas (Las Vegas is Toronto's AAA team) saw how he got banged up during his starts here this summer. He even said himself he lost velocity, etc.
The other 8 players on the field wouldn't have mattered much if he pitched similar to prior outings this season.
I'm not at all surprised it was -200 based on the information available to bettors. Just another example of why they play the games.
