Cubs vs Giants "Sharp or Stupid Play"

Question

It seems like everytime you make a play on the Cubs it has to be a Sharp Play as it is just way to hard to feel good about backing the Cubs!!

Giants have been on fire lately winning their last 5 games. However keep in mind that the 5 game winning streak came off wins over the Twins who are back to reality and can't seem to hit for shit!! and the Indians who have also been strugling to get some runs!

Now can the Cubs manage to win two games in a row? Coincidental the last time they pull this was when Matt Garza beat the Brewers 12 - 7 on June 16th and was followed by Doug Davis pitching a Gem against the Yankees and winning 3 - 1 (how can we forget that public bloodbath) This scenario happend at home and if we take close look at the stats if the Cubs have a shot at winning today it has to be at home as Davis pitches better at home and Vogelsong is at his best when at home.

This looks like a tougher game to play as the right call seems to be a play on the Gmen! The line is not bad at all at -130 and it kinda seems that the public is not all over the Gmen. (even though 63% is on them) I have a feeling alot of folks will try to make a so Called "Sharp Play" on this one and will back the Cubs!

At the end after seeing what occured last night, I will have to ride the same "fade the public" "sharp plays" "unlogical plays" Whatever you want to call it!!! They were money last night !! and why fix something if it is not broken!!!

yeah i agree, I think cubs roll here. Giants line is too good to be true and usually when it looks too good to be true it is.

I think you have good comments. I think it i s a no play for me because it is just plain nuts to back the cubs. I did it yesterday but I wont push my luck. all in all , giants should win this one. better pitcher and bullpen should trump good hitting. 9and throw in poor scoring by the cubs) but, despite giants good record 44 wins, they rank 30th in scoring and 25th in hitting.

sharp or not..cubs are hitting great at home..volgesong is lights out..but san frans offense can make doug davis look lights out..cubs seem like the no brainer..

You say the Giants played a Twins team that&#x27;s back down to earth, but the Giants are the ones that put them there. They&#x27;d won 16 of 18 before hitting San Fran. The people that say the line looks too good to be true, I got the Giants at -121, a team that knows how to grind out wins, vs Doug Davis. That doesn&#x27;t look too good to be true. It just looks right.

You might be right! I wish you the very best... Despite all the bashing and unusefull threads around this forum, there are a couple of things I have learned from some good cappers in here, and that&#x27;s to play the unplayable! it won&#x27;t hit everytime but you defenitely have to think outside the box... When you know nothing about betting but yet think to be very knowlegdeable about the game and stats and think you have an edge, you end up finding out that when it comes to betting,  perspectives change and the way you cap games also has to change in order to win!Thanks for your insight Pujolsjunkie and BOLJust pulled the Trigger and unloaded CHICAGO CUBS

I have the Giants line at -132 right now and I see the public on the Giants!! Am I seeing something wrong here? plz correct me if I am wrong!!

If the public is on the Gmen (right?) and the line drops isn't this weird? They want the public to continue pounding the Giants

What does this suggest.  The over is juiced at -115 but the team score is juiced alot higher for the under.  SF team 4.5 -120 and cubs 4 -120.  Shiit is tricky.  Team juiced suggest possible game being under than the total score suggest possible over.???

I made a 2 unit play on SF myself but feel taht this game is a toss. I am more or less going against lollipop tossing DD. If I get beat so be it as I just could not put a red cent on Davis. BoL to all!

The line is not dropping. It is getting more and more expensive to lay juice on SF. Not sure where you are getting your numbers from, but maybe you should recheck.

I feel like they going to hit alot better from their last meeting when sf won 3-0 with same pitcher and game being called off late in game.  Last time the over/under was at 8.  If line was at 8 i would think under but 8.5 suggest this may go over.

The over/under set up for this game reminds me of the KCvs SD game.  When the juice for the game was at -120 for the over 6.5.  Then the total team score for KC 3 under was at -120 and SD 3.5 under juiced at -120 game ended up going to 7 went over half point.

I don&#x27;t have a play on the O/U so I should not comment on this play as I do not want to influence anyone what so ever. However since you are asking I personally lean on the Over!! My reasoning: "Stupid or not" As you know I have a play on the Cubs and I am not expecting Davis to pitch a gem today. I think he will keep the Giants from scoring often but they will get their share of runs (3 or 4 runs ?). Now my 2 cents and gut feeling tells me to fade the public and the way they cap their games!!! If you or I were to play the Giants we would probablly be betting on the fact that Vogelsong has been lights out and will hold Cubbies bats from scoring!! I just can&#x27;t see anyone on the Giants relying on their Offense even though they are going against D. Davies.. Giants backers are betting on the fact that the Giants will score enough runs on Davies to get it done and lights out Vogelsong with the rest of the Gmen bullpen will just shut the Cubs down!!! DEJAVU?? Chacin last night!! What are the odds of this ocurring again?? We will have to wait and see but again I like the Cubs and if anything I lean on the Over as well!!Over is just a lean !!!!! Ya i feel you.  If the public is on a certain team over 60 percent of the time i am kinda hestitant to be on the same side.  But the last meeting between them last month i believe public was on sf over 60%  and the line was at SF -111.  SF won 3-0 late in game due to cancellation to bad weather.  I just feel its going to be a turnaround game for cubs and it will go over.  I don&#x27;t get the vibe public is going to be right twice on this particular game.

The only guaranteed advice I can give you is something we should all know.. and that is not to wager money we can't spend!!! Everytime I place a bet it is considered money spent!!! out of sight out mind!!! Of course I want to win and I bitch if don't win a bet, but at the end of any given day I will never bang my head against the wall for losing money I couldn't spend!!
