Back into the negative units after a rough day yesterday. Can't even tell you how many times Brian Fuentes has cost me a game. Guy is horrible. Anyways, onto today...
Reds -155 (7.75 Units to win 5 Units) - Can't really see the Pirates winning back to back games in Cincy against the Reds. Leake struggled in his last start but has good numbers against the Pirates (1.86 ERA in 19 innings) and I expect him to be just fine today. On the other end the Pirates will send James McDonald, who i've just never been sold on. Big time prospect who never panned out with the Dodgers and now just an average/below average pitcher with the Pirates. Pitching in this ballpark against this lineup it could be a long day for McDonald.
Indians -110 (5.5 Units to win 5 Units) - Two pretty evenly matched teams do battle here with 2 SP's that I consider to be pretty even. I'll go with the Indians simply because they are the hotter of the two teams and their playing at home. Really not too much else to it.
Yankees -120 (6 Units to win 5 Units) - Good price here for the Yankees at home due to how well the Rangers have been playing to open the season. Holland has had a nice start to the season but I don't think he's quite as good as Harrison is and the Yankees bats should have a bit more luck today. Garcia takes the mound for the Yankees and as a veteran he's well aware a good start today could go a long way towards a securing a permanent rotation spot. I think he holds the Rangers somewhat in check today.
Royals +135 (5 Units to win 6.75 Units) - I don't care how good Felix is, to be -145 on the road with that collection of clowns known as the Mariners behind him is a joke. The Royals have the much better lineup, better bullpen, better team and are playing at home. The only edge the Mariners have is Felix. That alone certainly isn't anywhere near them being this big of a favorite. Royals for me.
Parlay: Red Sox & Phillies +119 (5 Units to win 5.95 Units) - Expecting each team to rebound after losing yesterday. Not really much of a write up needed for two teams this heavily favored. On paper they should clearly win. No point in going into a write up to try and explain what already should be clear. Going with the parlay to avoid the heavy juice.
More to come later...
GL to you all
