first off why isnt chapman the closer of this team?  chapman has  a  0 era in 15 ip. he last like 28 strikeouts in those 15 ip. he was just throwing 102 and the 3 batters didnt come close to touching him. so lets bring in sean marshall because he s got some filthy shit   i m no manager but shouldnt the guy thats practically unhittable be the closer?

He isn&#x27;t the closer because they want to move him into the rotation. So, they don&#x27;t want to mess with roles right now. He also has never closed games before. That being said, his control is much better now and I say f the roles until he is ready to move into the rotation. Just passing on what I have heard beign from the Cincy area. IMO I think Chapman goes into the rotation when Masset and Bray are back. The problem was Chapman didn&#x27;t exactly blow them away as a starter this spring.

It is no surprise that teams like the Tigers and Reds continually underachieve.

It is because of Leyland and Baker. 2 terrible managers who bring in and keep in terrible reliever until the game is out of hand. They also wait to pull starters until they put the game away.

Yet management will not fire these two because they are "legendary" managers.
