at this point there is nothing you can do to hedge out and not lose money, you can either A limit your loss or B hope the Stros win Game 3 and then you should be able to hedge out a bit.

If you bet single games you may just end up adding to your loss. Unfortunately the best option is to wait out game 3 and hope the Astros can pull one out.

Vinnie: so if Nats win game 3, you'd bet Nats game 4,5,6? How much would you bet each game in order to hedge? Could you give an example? Thanks

There's no way that would work unless they actually do win game 4 because at that point you'd need to bet enough to make your money back as it potentially the last game. If the Astros win that game you are screwed even more. There is no way out of this cleanly unless the Astros win game 3, so yes, OP needs to pray they win game 3.

How does this make sense? Nats win game 3 and they only need to win one more. You can't bet them the next 4 games. That 200 wager won't cover the 1700 series wager. The only way would be to bet enough to win 1700 on the Nats in game 4. If they lose game 4 then you're down even more. Astros need a win for a feasible hedge.

Vinny stop confusing Pistol Like everyone else mention, you will need to pray ALOT and have Houston win game 3 to gain some leverage on your hedgeThat is the only way instead of betting each game...…….unless you have a lot of FREE cash to bet

I think Vinnie is onto something. If Nationals win Game 3 and go up 3-0, theoretically I can do the following:
1) Bet $1,000 on Game 4 Nats and if they win series I only lose $700, if they lose..
2) Bet $2,000 on Game 5 Nats and if they win series i only lose $700, if they lose..
3) Bet $4,000 on Game 6 Nats and if they win series I only lose $700, if they lose
4) I'm screwed lol

It's not that what he is saying is impossible but it is very risky. Also your example doesn't include odds with juice. While very unlikely, there have been teams that come back from being down 3-0, I'm not sure if that's happened in baseball or not tho. This is my thought, if the money is not that important to you then just let it ride, hope they win game 3 and asses your options from there. If the money is important and you're only trying to cut your losses because you know the Nats will win, then lay what you'd win with your current future right now on the Nats series. Once you know the loss you're going to take from the futures you could play single games to knock it down further. There really is no clean way to do this unless the Astros win game 3 tho.

Have to say that if you are willing to put up 7,000 with your only chance is to lose 700 bucks I would just go ahead and let the 1700 go,betting a maybe 7 grand to save 1 grand does not make alot of sense to me for some reason, just let it go for now and if by some way Houston wins a few games maybe you get a chance, but in futures you have to hedge before they start to make it work.

You have one choice if you want to bet tomorrow's game - bet 1500 @+123 with Sanchez to almost break even
But I would hope and PRAY the Astros win tomorrow then hedge the series bet win Nats which would be IMHO -125 for 1700
GL whatever you choose!

Honestly you lost your chance to hedge before game 1 when Washington was +150. The juice will be way to steep from here on out to hedge out for any profit.
