Here is what I'm thinking / doing. I took TEXAS before game 1 @ -155. risking $155 to win $100. After they lost I got TEXAS +120 for another $100. Now I am faced with losing $255 to win $220. I'll either play St. Louis for $100 @ -200 +1 run Hoping to still have Rangers win by 1 run to win $220 or if the Cards win I'll lose only $155

You don't hedge bets by laying wood on both sides of the transaction. You could hedge if you had bet STL at plus money for the series before game 1 and then you could bet TEX at plus money tonight. Not the other way around.

Well then why don't you explain how Tex closer never loose a save in the playoff...yet he did it last night. This is the WS. Throw away all regular season record man. And this is game 7 for crying out loud.

The only time i'd approve of these hedges involves these big future plays. The guys who got the cards 400-1 plus, thats something to hedge. Playing these multiple team parlays and hedging the last bet over the long haul is just a bad play. You're laying insane juice EVERY play, but the plays you're getting paid off, you're cutting your payout in half while still laying the steep price. Say you make a 5 team parlay. Standard juice makes it 20-1. Assuming a coinflip, actual odds aside, you're laying 32-1 right off the bat. Get down to the last game in the set, and hedge half, then you're onlyallowing yourself to be paid out 10-1. You'd need to win 4 of 5 games and have the ability to hedge twice as often as letting it ride out and just hitting the last game. I know its off topic but its just something that I think people rarely evaluate.
