Kyle Hendricks had issued just 8 walks in the first 5 innings of his nine starts this season at Wrigley Field.  He had allowed just two home runs, both solo shots.  Tonight, he issued one walk and allowed one home run in the first 5 innings.  Of course they both happened in the same inning.  Of course the walk preceded the home run.  Of course the home run barely cleared the basket, a shocking drive to the opposite field with, of course, two outs.  And of course those were the only two A's hitters to reach base in the first 5 innings.

A flip of the middle finger goes out to Jason Heyward, who as the ineffective leadoff hitter surprised everyone who has common sense by attempting to bunt his way on base on the first pitch of the game from Chris Bassitt.  On the first pitch?  Yes.  He failed miserably and was easily thrown out by the catcher. In the bottom of the 2nd inning, unfortunately it was Heyward's turn in the batting order when the bases were loaded with two outs.  He was blown away on three pitches, the last one up and away.  In the bottom of the 4th, following a surprising 2-out single by Hendricks, Heyward worked a 2-2 count, but Bassitt knew what to do.  Up and away, again.  End of the inning.

Mr. Bator, recalled you posting from a long time ago.


Did you mostly bet the ML for 1st 5 here and some on the full game?  Or did you only bet on the 1st 5.

And of course the Cubs tied the game at the first opportunity following my exit from the action when Javy Baez homered to lead off the bottom of the 6th. I fully expected them to score in the bottom of the 6th just to rub salt in the wound, but a leadoff home run made things extra salty.  Then the offense went crazy in the bottom of the 7th.  Even Heyward contributed a single.

Bator, I'm curious but are you still in las vegas now?  Back then when you posted a long time ago, i recalled you were in vegas.  Are you still there now?  Do you still do this for a living?  I know back then you did a long time ago when you posted.



Also, do much people know you in person?  I assume you are pretty well known back then in the vegas books right?  For example if i make a trip to vegas, any way to get to meet you Mr. Bator?

     If u look at the pattern  Of j heyward he scores 1 time then next game doesnt if he scores 2 times in a game next day he most likely. He scores 1 or nothing i predicted both teams 4 to 5 runs i didnt expect heyward to score that makes 6 points i wish i posted my parlay today

 

1st 5 under 5.5 cubs

Philies +1.5

Washington +1.5 

 

I missed the early game wanted yankees -1.5
