This is Baseball, on any given night the worst team can beat the best team, the worst team in baseball is gonna win at least 60 games. This line is low for a reason,I could be wrong and it wouldn't be the first but it warrants a small play from my house. By the way Cody Anderson is not that bad of a pitcher.

The Indians Scored the 3rd most runs in MLB and had a .780 OPS in May when the lit Volquez up, KC WON THAT GAME. Volquez May ERA 3.86, Volquez July ERA 3.07. The last time they faced Volquez before that was 2011 when he had a 5.71 ERA. In this July Cleveland is 9th from last in runs sporting a .656 OPS, KC is 5th in runs with a .757 OPS. More to the game than starting pitchers, just getting the facts out there. Yeah, I'm on KC.

I understand the numbers favor KC in a landslide...which is what makes this line so interesting. More times then not, I've seen the chalk (not the better team) win these. Just saying.

More often than not I see the better team win games.
It's not just the better team, the better team is hot right now too. The worse team is colder than normal.
I would have to think at least a little bit of it is because Cleveland is at home, where they have sucked this season. IMO this is giving too much credit to a pitcher who has played 5 MLB games, the last one he got smoke by the Brewers who are about as hot as KC right now.

It might have something to do with Volquez 11.48 ERA in 4 starts against Cleveland, but he has been dealing lately 1.85 over his last 4 starts
...couple Volquez's poor "personal performance" vs Cleveland... with the fact that, Anderson had a record of 2-1/w0.89 ERA in his first 4 games...before facing & having a bad outing vs Milwaukee(raising his ERA to an "enormous" 1.91), although Cleveland eventually WON that game!!!
...Cleveland is the "pick" here!!!
