I'm going to keep this one simple. I could get cute and play the Under 9 here and that's not such a bad play because there were simply too many at-bats last night, not to mention there were a lot of hits right from the start of the game. However, I'm not going to. I'm going to keep this simple. Jays have the edge in this matchup and that's why the line is so discouraging and makes you want to take the supposed "value play". I'm not going to bite on it. You got players in Texas who had what, 7, 8 at-bats? I also think Doc will prove that his dominating performance in Texas is not a fluke. I'll split my betting unit into two here:
Blue Jays ML -183 $125
Blue Jays -1.5 +105 $125

And hopefully, once again, we both win. ||cool.gif' border=0>
Them Habs are really playing well. I think there's more to be said with a team playing against the Bruins and winning than a team playing against Ottawa.||Peace_5.gif' border=0>
Thanks benzy! GL on the Habs tonight...||thumbs_up.gif' border=0>

ML 2-Teamer TOR/CWS +207 not a bad play either. Always more risk with parlay, but +207 more than evens risk IMO. Wouldn't hurt standings either, LOL.

Hi Philly, I hope so bud. I need lots of good luck tonight...and my usual load of Doc gear! GL to you as well my good friend. ||Peace_5.gif' border=0>
Hi Rick, yeah, that parlay looks nice...real nice without that inviting feel to it which usually means you got something there. I don't play parlays much but contrary to what some may feel, just like straight bets, if you pick your spots (which yours is an example of), you get compensated reasonably well in the long run...as long as you don't go gung-ho. btw, still very early but your boys look like they're in business again. So true, our teams are like cousins..funny how that works out. GL tonight and hope you nail your 2-teamer.
Thanks Hummer. Good luck on your action tonight. ||thumbs_up.gif' border=0>

Hi Rick. I feel for your loss. It's definitely tough to lose like that. I feel for Doc as well. I can already see a few things not going right for the Jays this early in the season.
1. Greg Zaun.
He's a garbage player. Cut-n-dried. What's Barajas doing in the dugout. He's not that hurt anymore. The team is hurting because of Zaun. He can't hit for shit, he can't throw out baserunners. Barajas can do both and he brings a lot more heart into the game.
2. Marco Scutaro.
I can tell already. This is going to be another Ricciardi bust deal. The guy's a momo at the plate. Just one dumb momo. Scutaro likes to take pitches which is good if you're a grinder who can work the count to your favor but he ain't. Tonight, I knew when he pinch-hit that the game was over. He looks at a couple of fastballs and then decides to chase a breaking ball so what does he do? He scoops the ball from under and of course flies out. Defensively, he's okay but he's no good at the plate.
3. Team Morale.
Was Toronto really that tired coming into tonight's game? Let's see, they absolutely demolished the Orioles with their 11-3 win and so I knew last night that they would have trouble scoring and really, that game should have gone under if not for Broussard's error in the eighth and also Catalanotto's fluke homer in the 8th as well which was why I took the under because I felt like Rangers had the edge but Litsch could maybe keep the scoring low. Coming into tonight's game, there was no excuse to lose. You got your ace who is keeping your team in the ballgame. You know for a fact the Rangers did a hell of a lot more work offensively than you the previous night as they set the tone offensively right from the start. But they didn't do jack tonight. Why is this? I now really am convinced that this team will not go anywhere this year if this keep this type of mentality. Coming into this series, they were already 2 games above .500 but they didn't capitalize because they are afraid to win. That's their problem. This team does not want to be in unfamiliar territory.
4. Alex Rios.
This guy has officially taken the path that Vernon Wells did when he officially signed his monster contract extension. Do you guys remember what happened then? Same thing is happening to Rios now. Yup. He's feeling the pressure to perform big time. I wouldn't worry about it. He'll shake it off, just a matter of time. He just has to remember that all that matters is when he's on the field, all he needs to do is play the game.
On a positive note, two players are really worth mentioning for their work ethics and consistency:
1. David Eckstein.
2. Aaron Hill.
These guys have talent in their own rights and do the job on both sides of the game.
At least Ozzy and team are passionate about winning. Sometimes too much for Ozzy's own good but I'll take that anyday over a poser team like this.
Toronto will win a game when they decide they can win. A game like tonight, they lost it before it even began because they were never in it and decided not to show up. I still think this team has plenty of talent and for sure, there's a lot of baseball left but sometimes history repeats itself and tonight, it definitely did. The very same mentality that "Oh it's just another game, the team can lose this one and rebound some time in the future." will definitely take them nowhere ONCE AGAIN.
Tomorrow is another interesting day but I'll look at the game when my head clears LOL Tonight, my split-atom bet didn't pan out but that's gambling for you...don't know about any of you guys but I can definitely forget this night. Too aggravating. Have a good one fellas.

LOL -- Yeah! Me too. Geuess with all Jenk's past success, I (& maybe him too) counted the win too early.
Also couple of errors scored, and I was really enjoying the stellar defense they have played.
With football it's any given Sunday ...... baseball got a week of Sunday's, and I really do position my bets to handle losses ... now if I can only position my demeanor! Reall thought that one was a win, Oh well---they will be better than most thought this year IMO.
