I agree, Seattle is like a wounded zebra about to get eaten alive by a pack of hyenas.

Verlander did beat the Mariners five times but he didn’t go 5-0 against them. They hit him hard in Seattle back on May 27th. I’m sure he wasn’t worried about it. The Astros went on to win 10 of his next 11 starts!

I bet the over on Seattle’s win totals and bet them to make the playoffs. They did! Guess what? The Astros destroyed the Mariners. The Astros roster is designed to win playoff series. I don’t see how the M’s win this series. Honestly, the only story I can come up with is the M’s do a 1990 Reds with Cal Raleigh pulling a Billy Hatcher and batting .750.

And in other news Verlander gave up 3 runs in his 2nd spring training start 

All great information and I am on HOU too but this is just another example how you never know who is mentally tough enough for the post season. Fried hadn't given up more than 2 runs since July and gets touched up for 4 (eventually 6) and pulled early. Now we have Verlander dishing up BP. Man almost have to take the dog and hope for the best. HOU has a great offense. Lets hope they can come back and win but looking tough for us.  BOL!

They got him again. So far today it appears that the teams who experienced a heightened competition over the weekend are getting the jump on the teams that didn’t have to compete at all.

Wow two of the biggest losers in Covers right here. Why come into another man's thread and post burning money symbols. You have no class or what? My point of my post was to let the OP know that I appreciated his information (and it was good information) but sadly you can throw that stuff out the door in the post season. I was hopeful of a come back two hours ago when I posted and HOU scored 2 to get within 2 with rest of the game to go. It will take a miracle for them to win now.
