Good luck to you and your Yankees Sparky. I saw Pettitte in Walgreens a few weeks ago, he did not look very happy. I can't believe he went back and is missing his son play high school ball. Deer Park is 10-0, his son is a RHP, and is doing just O.K. Their stud is a Centerfielder, kid name Ricky Rameriz. Andy may recruit him to the Yankees.

Hope Yu Darvish does well for you. Got the Rangers win total over. I figure facing the A's and M's as many times as they will should help that.

Hey dcmc34f u still mad about the 2010 World Series bro? Game 2 Matt Cain's line against the feared Texas Ranger lineup- 7.2 IP, 4H, O ER result Giants win 9-0. Sparky has covered this very well when Cain gets run support he is an elite pitcher, but he has been on the Giants his whole career who have been a weak offensive team the whole time. You can't use W-L as a measuring stick you want a prime example take jackass John Lackey of last year. He went 12-12 with a 6.41 ERA.

Another thing people don't realize is Cain is the only Giant that has been around since the beginning of the Post-Barry Bonds era in SF, and he is just as valuable if not more to the Giants than Lincecum. 200+ innings pitched in the bigs is a huge deal, getting to count on Cain to go out there and get 30 starts and 200 IP with a chance to win almost every game if you can score some runs is worth every dollar in my eyes.

Anyone who judges pitchers only on wins does not deserve the right to argue for or against any pitcher.

This is possibly the dumbest opinion I've heard on this website. Matt Cain is a fabulous pitcher, just in a funk when it comes to getting run support. It's all mental. He's pitching against great pitchers, a lot of really strong number 2's. And let's face it, SF on paper looks to have a great offense, but in reality, it was old and very inconsistent.

Please watch him start a few games. He's got an intimidating whip and is one of the great young stars to watch. Oh yah, I'll take josh johnson...obviously..but it's great when ur best play [Johnson] plays 18 starts a year. That helps a lot...

For starters, the team's #1 and #2 starters match up with other #1 and #2 starters VERY SELDOM. It's gets off pace the 1st week. Next, you guys act like Cain's era is zero. It's 3.35, it that worth huge money? All this "run support" talk has to stop. That's an excuse for him.

bump this shit all night.  Cain is much better and consistent than Johnson.  Kershaw? Talk to me when Kershaw even GETS to the playoffs, let alone does what Cain did in the playoffs.  Trying winning the world series with one of the lowest scoring offenses in the league..
